I was hoping when they realized their mistake they would have overnighted me the product I ordered weeks ago to make it right... No such luck..
Oh well.. They didn't even acknowledge their mistake when I asked for my shipment.. That's pisses me off..

I only buy from CMS anymore. Great tuner and great customer service.

Good reputation or not, a bad experience is a bad experience. I'd be upset too if I had to wait 3 weeks for a part to ship, with the wrong tracking number given to me early on. IMO they should have apologized for the tracking number mixup and put up a warning that this part might not ship for 3-4 weeks when you ordered.

At least, that's what I would expect of a company with a good reputation.

I just saw this, so I'll respond now.

I first of all - want to apologize for the issue you had with us.

These mirrors you purchased, which are from Rexpeed, are one of the only replacements and very popular. So they basically sell out a soon as they are in stock. When that happens, we have these drop-shipped right from Rexpeed, which means the package comes from overseas. We don't charge extra for this. This is to save time on your end, instead of them coming to us first, then shipping out to you.

Doing it his way saves time, but unfortunately also takes a bit of time to get to the U.S. It's this few days of interim time where the USPS tracking number won't work until it hits our shores. So that's why there was a delay in your tracking number showing invalid. We then had to contact Rexpeed and get it resolved, communicating with a manufacturer on the other side of the planet takes a couple days to sort out.

So you Did get the right tracking number, it just took us a couple days to get it straightened out.

We didn't forget you, or make a mistake and try and scam you. We were very up front with you the whole time. It was a simple tracking/shipping error on the other end, which we resolved.

We don't have a "live inventory" system on our site, the reason is that items come in and go out of stock so fast, and can ship from so many places, that it wouldn't be accurate. The last thing we want to do is have it say "in stock" and because another guy just bought the same brake pads minutes before, you get screwed on your important trackday. We actually have a *Notice* before you checkout that says to contact us if you need an item ASAP, and we can arrange to try and make that happen. We also email you if the item is not in stock and give you an ETA so you can arrange around that.

So again, I am sorry your mirrors took a bit of time to get to you, but we did everything we could to get your issue resoled quickly.

Plus I imagine it's a little harder to ship to "Somewhere in Space" as indicated by your location...........

Still wear my 86 Spirit shirt I got from @Circuit Motorsports to just about every meet I go to. Took a little while to get it but it was part of a group buy and group buys take time. I gave them a positive review. My advice to you @Mikem53 is next time if you buy from someone who is a vendor on here, try contacting them here first. In my experience at least it seems to go smoother. I understand your frustration, but try to understand that nobody is perfect and while it can be frustrating, we're all human and mistakes and setbacks can happen. With so many people coming to their defense, it seems the general concensus is that they provide good customer service.
