any suggestions? I have a bunch of small garages near me and a crappy tire, but I am not sure I want to trust any of them, even if it is just a simple mounted wheel swap...

I would like to get this done this week/weekend if at all possible...

Thanks for any tips you have!
Come and see me this weekend, we'll get 'er done. I'm in Orleans.

Agree with Simon. Heck. Bring them to M&M. I'm sure people would be happy to bring a jack and breaker bar and torque wrench and help you get the job done in a few minutes.
I can't make it this Friday though.

This.

I picked up a low profile jack, stands, and a torque wrench for $200-ish on sale at the Crappy Tire (watch those flyers!).

Changed my tires and the wifes a few weeks ago and once I put the winters on they will have paid for themselves.

I cheat and use an impact wrench for taking off the tires. Makes it go a LOT faster.

Weather permitting

I'll be at M&M's late Friday night as I have dinner plans at 7:30 pm. Should get there around 9:30 - 10 pm

Simon99. Do you live in Barrhaven? If so I may have seen your ride in front of Timmies on Fallowfield last Saturday. Pretty brave to park in front next to all the mini vans I must say.

Did this a couple nights ago (no drill front license plate mount using magnets):
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35261

I broke one clip on one side markers. Secured it with tape. Not too worried as I'm waiting on shipping for new smoked side markers from Vicious LED.

Also took your advice (everyone I asked) and got the front wrapped. Just picked it up today. Xpel Ultimate @ Goldwing. Looking very closely I see a few seams. I'm sure that's normal, I just wish I couldn't see anything at all. Better than chips I hope! haha.

I won't be around for M&M Friday since I leave early Friday morning for Carlisle PA for the car show - all alone
They've announced that 2015 it will be mid-July for better weather and hopefully bigger attendance - I hope someone will go with me next year!!

@KingGeo - if I was around this weekend I help you tire swap at my place in Barrhaven - oh well

Cheers
Ken

I'll chime in a little late to say that I agree with everyone - get a jack and stands and DIY!

http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/mi...-0091052p.html

This thing is awesome. Sometimes it goes on sale for 60-70% off. I think I got mine for 120$ last year.

M&M

Looks tomorrow night is going to be another wash out. See you guys in a couple of weeks. On a bright note. Finally saw Mike's beautiful raven today at his work parking lot. Nice to see it out Mike.

If my garage was bigger or my drive was flat (much slope) I would be all for the DIY!

Ill take a look and see if I can find a cheap jack and stands this weekend.

on a plus side, I have not been thinking about it to much due to the great riding weather this week so far!

I bought the same jack as well.

FYI for anyone interested in this jack:
The handle (aluminum) is threaded at the bottom where it is inserted into the body of jack is prone to stripping. I exchanged for a new handle and the ones from unopened boxes were prone to cross threading as well.

Maybe just bad luck on my side but I'm going to get some steel pipe to replace it.

Otherwise its a good jack; I've used it on the FR-S (stock ride height) and it will reach the rear differential. Valve control to lower the jack is very precise, no hair trigger drops.
