This way you can continuously develop your tunes as Phantom ESC upgrades are released (dual dump packs, aux charger, TQ300, flexfuel(?) etc) and not just rely whatever hardware is deployed in your area. The kit costs so much less than every other F.I. option. Your investment would also send a strong message of platform support and not just a one-off tune for whatever reason. Vishnu tuning and @shiv@vishnu has offered full spectrum support for the platform. I've really appreciated that commitment of resources from them, and tuners like @Bu-Tang and Bob @Drift-Office have done. It would be great to have an ECUTek tuner offer full support in the way the BRZedit and OpenFlash tuners have. Those tuners get my support because they've done what early adopters like us in this thread have done and that is invested in the project.
AMEN!

I thought "tuning is tuning" and the device isn't half as important as the tuner himself?
Are you saying you're a one trick pony who can't adapt to different technology?

I am sure you mean well but I would stop short of telling people to sell off their competitor's products to promote your own services, even if it is for free.
That sorta stuff can be reserved for PM.

To be fair I don't think he was meaning it to be an attack. He is just interested in tuning the platform. The more the marrier there is no one solution for everyone

Two questions:

1) Has anyone tracked their car with this ESC already? Impressions?
2) Anyone went for a manual switch instead of activation on WOT?

no... i'm saying i'd rather have an input to custom maps and be able to tell when it's on, use bespoke cam/fuel/timing maps only when it's running etc.

That sounds great, so why not jump in with two feet and order a kit?

Let us know if we choose ECUTek that you'll be another tuner that provides continuous development and free Off-the-shelf tunes for this evolving hardware. We dove in, paid our way, so come along and show that you're committed to the platform. JOIN US!!!

every tune i sell is open and unlocked, and can be shared between users if they so choose. i don't exactly feel like buying a kit i won't have any need for (i'd have to remove my entire turbo setup to install it) just to take a loss on it later, but i'd love to hook up with anyone local who has one to develop maps for the community to use.

i don't think anyone who knows me has any doubt that i'm committed to this platform. and to be clear i am in no way anti-OFT. i tune OFT remotely and locally for people who prefer it. it's just that i'm interested in seeing what we can do with custom mapping for the electric supercharger. i'm just interested in playing with it, for science lol.

Getting back to important matters, how long before RHD applications are available? I am coming into a bit of coin soon and am having kittens waiting for my chance to e-boost!

Yup Gums has his installed in AUS. They are working on all the details now and I think that he is going to run it for a month to make sure nothing comes up. I'll let Rob speak to when exactly he plans to start shipping to AUS.
