I honestly don't see how you can give a comparison of a tire that is not even out or tested yet.

I would agree that for a given purpose the rs3 vs > than the zII. But unless they are just the remaining ware housed zIIs, you can't even get zIIs anymore.

In november (thats the word anyway) the new zII star specs should be released.

Which is the comparison he was asking for.

I think you mean Z111? The Z11s have been around for a while.

Game. Set. Match.
not meaning to be a d*ck at all, but those tests were done on a S2000 and we are talking about the FRS/BRZ platform. a car with different suspension geometry along with different weights.

Nowhere have I seen where the confirmed replacement will be branded as Z11 "Star Spec", please link me to that info because I am curious.

We've also tested these tires on M3, GTR, 1M, 370Z, 350Z, C6Z06, and FRS/BRZ. Mike also tested a few select tires on 458, GT3, Gallardo, MP4-12C, and R8s as well.

We tell it as it is and data that we've measured over the course for years of tracking and street driving.

If you have any other experiences, please share them as it would benefit the community rather than simply thinking that these annotations are biased.

lol so what does my opinion matter if its "game. set. match"?

as someone stated earlier about the presence of the rivals in the autox community and for you guys to knock that its not a great tire.

is this thread talking about the best tire for HPDE, tracking, or time attack?

so in my eyes it isn't a "game. set. match."

i know mike personally and he is an exceptional driver, but not everyone drives like him.

it might be "game. set. match." in the CSG standpoint, but not everyone here is a CSG driver or part of the program.

just saying

as for my autox experience.

i love the ad08r's for a car running in the stock classes. they have a very stiff sidewall and even when bubbled it doesn't give a "squishy" feeling.

the toyo's on a prepped brz feels great only when stretched. for anyone who has driven on these tires and experienced the tire squirm that most people talk, then that is partially down to not running the correct tire size.

again those are my opinions

You're right in a sense that different tires work well in different environments. We'll continue to chat, however, I'm still not convinced Rivals are all that great. I do see S2k drivers seem to favor the Rivals for AutoX as there are drivers who have done back to back runs with Z2 vs. Rivals comparison.

Different tires for different purposes.

E.g., we'll NEVER use a R1R on track, but it's a badass autox tire.
