I had the emblem removed at Commerce Lane Body Shop in Miami FL in the warehouse district across from South Miami Metro Station. The two brothers who run its are a hell of a duo.

I think the most important thing to establish is that you want it done right first and foremost and that it will clearly be a defined element. Body shops, especially in miami where everyone drives like a crazy person, are usually pretty busy, let them know what you expect and be patient. I let them take as long as they needed having another car to drive and went by pretty much at the end of each day check in, mess around, shoot the shit.

The hood lines are continued down into where the recess was to create an inset pointed look.
I wasn't around to watch every step of how he filled but...
It was sealed on the rear side then slowly layered with filler. A cardboard pannel was used as a guide and starting from the bottom the shape was contoured to the apex of the bumper. Once a final outer shape was set you can see where the inset lines begin at the top edge of the bumper. They were then sanded on each side in even constant strokes up and down along the line until the proper contour was reached. You can use a contour gauge to check your final result. Then coats of primer paint & clear. Once you put the primer on you'll really be able to see how its gonna look and this is a good time to make any final calls. Also if you want it to look correctly, blend gratuitously across the front panels and polish the entire car when your finished. Thants my 2 cents! Hope it helps

Love it. I don't trust any body shop in my town to do this, but I sure wish I did.. I also have two holes in the lighter plastic bumper part that I want fixed.

looks really good!

Thank you!!!!

Any installed picture?

did you make the curve on the top of the emblem smooth?

I think thats the most important and hard part.

People who take a look at their own car will know what I am saying.

Bumper won't be on my car for another couple of weeks. Still at the shop at the moment. I didn't get a good look at it so I can't say for sure about that curve. Once I get it back in my hands I'll let you know more. @Figo.

For some reason, I like the badge. Don't get me wrong, it looks clean without it, but it's just odd looking without one
