Yeah... This is awesome. I've read through all 216 pages of this, even the flaming .

Anyway, I was looking into doing something like this on my last vehicle (2011 Honda CRZ, which I sold about 3 weeks ago, and bought the BRZ the same day) while incorporating a system from a friendly engineer who helped me and several fellow students work on transforming a crappy Plymouth Neon into a Hybrid using his super efficient electric motors. It was several years ago when we toured his shop, but i distinctly remember him mentioning applications of his motors on Superchargers and Turbochargers. I recently got in contact with him with regards to helping develop something for the CRZ, and I got this wonderful picture in return:

The system above uses his high speed brush-less motor and controllers in conjunction with a Borg-Warner S200. I'm pretty curious about the blower and motor specs which Rob uses in the Phantom.

Definitely want to get on this "bandwagon", and am definitely interested in working with Rob and Dan from "eCycle" (manufacture of the above turbo) in developing something even more awesome!

Thoughts?

I'm sure after this solution gains more and more traction we'll see Rob/Phantom do different or improved blower/motors, and a lot of companies jump on the bandwagon.

I'm treating my ESC order as an early-adopter purchase and am definitely anticipating upgrades in the future from phantom and potentially other manufacturers. I don't even have mine yet

It's just a fun ride to be on -- I'm sure that eCycle company could be fun too!

What will be the power difference between the base kit - 1.5 - dual ?
So far my setup is Perrin drop in and TRD cat back
I'm planning a on either oft header or JDL uel with over pipe and catted front pipe and top it off with shiv tune. Wonder what's the possible HP tq gains

So far it seems that the exhaust systems and headers add to the bottom end and midrange and provide a smoother curve.

The battery upgrades let you hold more boost so the 1.5 opens up the top end and so does the dual dump if you were to elect for that upgrade.

Also putting the best possible gas in the car let's you run more timing which helps the entire curve.

1.5 dump with 93 octane, headers and exhaust is going to get you between 215 to 220hp and 190 to 200tq.

E85 adds about 20hp and torque.

Already been proven by Shiv! He made 217 on 92 octane with his standard phantom ESC tune by upgrading the batteries.

I'm hoping to hit the dyno in summer to do some more testing.

Is It possible to relocate the dual dump batteries to the rear instead to help with weight distribution?
