For daily/street driving where cost/install time are valued above peak performance the ESC is a true alternative to traditional FI.

I'm getting similar (if not the same in some cases) WTQ between 3-5.5K that you'd easily pay at least double for using Innovate/Vortech/belt-driven SC.

Well the ESC certainly is similar to other FI systems but it's hard to ignore the limited effective rpm range and limited boost duration. As long as what you want is a performance boost that lasts long enough to get you from 0-100 this ESC seems to be an attractive and affordable option. I'm actually kind of interested in the Phantom myself but embarrassed by association with many of the things said in this thread.

It's safe to say that the gains here have been proven multiple times.

I'm not exactly sure why you are so negative towards this setup Freddy.

I know the esc doesn't produce the greatest gains up top. ( I'm sure it will with time) but it's still the best bang for your buck you can get.

+5-7 whp for the pipes alone and +10-20 whp for the tune. I gained ~10 whp by adding a K&N drop-in filter, header and HFC front pipe. Gained another ~18 whp from a ECUtek tune and then another ~6 whp from a OP, ABE and intake tube.

Most tuners claim +20 whp from a tune alone. Shiv among them.

This ESC may be the best bang for your buck but that's hardly true for everyone.

Mr. Fast Freddy,

I don't know what you have going on with this system, or the adoption of a new technology that enhances performance in different and great ways compared to the conventional stuff, but you are just missing the point and the pleasure of this idea, regardless of the supplier.

I have an old Camry 3L, V-6, and this technology updates its performance level, to nearly the equal of a 3.5L VVTi, 2014 Camry (maybe more?). It does this while maintaining stock reliability, and being easy and simple to install!

On the FRS/BRZ, this system has tons of history now, and top rated tuners doing even more with it. Your challenges and complaints are silly and redundant now, unless you can find any genuine issue to discuss.

By-by, fast freddy

There no need to fight guys. From what i see the esc will produce the best pre 6k bang for the buck, it's true that the top end Max whp is not impressively high when compared to just the given mods minus the esc< which is logical, seeing how the psi tapers off at redline.

I see the esc as more of midrange FI application, just look at the power under the curve from 3k to 6k. Best bang for the buck.

If you read FF's early posts he presents the view point of a skeptic. After results began to be validated he became a troll, in the classic sense.

Don't argue with him, because whatever you say...you'll be wrong. We just have to accept that we suck.

I'm sorry Gary. Not meaning to mess with your head. I just know that Rob is a innovator and the platform is new but he is advancing the performance bar quickly.

I am very happy that I am a part of this.

1.5 or 2?

OK - riddle me this...

Back when I installed, I accidentally ordered two dump packs. The second one is still sitting here in the shipping box, unused. Given that I have the second dump pack already, should I just go dual dump, or should I get the 1.5 because it's a cleaner install? I'm leaning toward the 1.5.

If anyone is getting a kit and hasn't bought batteries yet, PM me and I'll give you a deal on the brand new dump pack I've got here.

For ease I would recommend the 1.5 pack. I'm sure someone on here will buy your batteries.

It's a total of 5 batteries.

So would that be considered as 3½ dump batteries?

1.5 because the two extra batteries are half the capacity. Of the original pack.
