You can use http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/?id=com.sygic.aura to download the apk. I wasn't able to use this URL on the unit itself for some reason (it wouldn't download), so I did it on my computer and uploaded the apk to my Google Drive. Then I used Drive on the unit to download and install the apk. Then the app will download some data plus whatever maps you select (500MB Canada for me) and you are off and running.
Is Sygic the best offline navigation app?

Idk about best, but it's probably the best/well known free offline nav app.

I was able to mess with the unit a lot more yesterday evening. I previously had a Nexus 7 install, so I basically already knew the sort of things I wanted - Podcast Addict, PowerAmp, MapFactor navigation, etc. I need to get my microSD card in before I can really do anything with offline navigation apps, so I can't comment too much on that.

It turns out, PowerAmp is not compatible with the Ca-Fi. Not a huge deal, I just downloaded Google Play Music, which does work (and there's a host of other apps that'll probably work). Like I said, the stock music app is pretty awful, so unless you're all about keeping this thing stock for some reason, you'll probably wanna get a different player. The good news is that so far, the physical buttons (next/previous) seem to work in Google Play Music.

Before I got a chance to install another different music player or Torque, I ran out of space on the head unit (I downloaded some podcasts in Podcast Addict also), so I have to wait until tomorrow to get my Micro SD card.

I haven't messed with Tasker at all yet, but I did install it, so I know it's compatible with the device.

Right now, my main concerns with the Ca-Fi are the random unmounting of the USB drive and the absurd, 2 year old 30 pin dock connector for iPhone. If the unit won't randomly unmount microSD cards, I'll be happy, as I don't really plan on using thumb drives. I think Apple's official 30-pin to lightning connector does audio, but all of the knock off ones do not, and I really cannot justify spending $30 on Apple's. If anyone finds an adapter for this that works, it would benefit myself (and probably others here) if you could send us a link for it.

TL;DR - my opinion of the unit has gone up since yesterday.
BTW just found I ran out of space too... Reason being is ky seems when u install an app from the play store it retains the APK install file on the c: drive. If you use the file manager to go in and delete them you will have plenty of space. Weird but not the worst thing.

Sorry been busy ... I'll comb this thread later and answer other questions.

Oh and no issues here with the SD card or USB unmounting randomly. Could be your drive or something.

Also make sure you take the plastic off the screen. Lol. I noticed the other day it was still on. Woops. Much more responsive and less glare.

I accidentally did - I believe I held down the power/volume button for 20 seconds.

Be careful - mine defaulted to russian language when I did that on accident Easy fix though - just go into the language settings and change it.

edit: Nevermind, figured it out. I used a spare harness from my old head unit, pushed down on the little clip inside with an ice pick, and pulled the wire down from the bottom.

So I'm kinda confused on what to do with this aux adapter to make aux in work. Do you have any advice?
you only need the three pins for the two RCAs on the harness that you purhcased. Either clip the other wires or pull them out of the plug.

Once you've done that plug the harness in, you will see that the wires don't match 100% to the FR-S harness. Red is right, White is Left, Black is ground on the FR-S harness. You'll need to swap one or two of the pins around to match the FR-S harness - but im not 100% sure which off the top of my head (i did this over a year go). Should be pretty obvious.

Once done - plug the RCA plugs from that harness into the back of the stereo where the AUX input is (middle plugs, bottom and half way up)

I believe he bought the AUX adapter you linked to, and doesn't know what to do with it... which is helpful because I won't know either when mine comes

I think I understand what you mean, but its been a while since I pulled the USB/aux port thing out of the dash. I will try to do it this weekend and see what happens.

Well I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the ca-fi. I don't have much experience with HU installs but hopefully with the aux, usb, antenna adapters linked in this thread the install should go fairly smooth when I get it.
