Waiting for the pc release, fell in love with demons souls and poured over 100+ hours in dark souls for pc.

I played it for ps3. I wish my pc could handle it. All the videos I've seen look amazing. What kinda character are you going with?

We should get an ft86club dark souls pvp thing going. Anyone interested?

Best game(s) ever...

Been running through the first half of the game over and over...then I "Re-Roll" a new character.

Making a solid "Soul Bro" build. Tanky that can heal and absorb aggro. Its early on, but fun.

Great at PVE...Sucks at PVP though (the build).

Anyway, here is how I describe the Dark Souls games...

"You know how if a boss whips your ass in say Final Fantasy, you just go back to the area before that boss and level up? Well Dark Souls says, 'Fuck You Asshole, Learn to Play'"

You do not progress in Dark Souls until YOU GET BETTER. No powering through things by being over leveled. You must learn to play.

I just started this game called "Legends of Grimrock." Highly recommended for fans of Dark Souls.

These are completely different styles of games though. Legends of Grimrock is a first person party dungeon dive exploration real-time combat RPG, like old school stuff but without the turn-based. That said, still a great game, and has been on sale several times on Steam for like three bucks. Easily worth it.

Yeah it's more like kings field than dark souls now that I think about it. But either way I think people who are attracted to dark souls would find the style of gameplay in Grimrock to be pretty appealing.

Well, I went ahead and picked up a copy, I can see why it is so well received. But damn no instruction manual??? Harsh, I didn't even know you could parry till I randomly found out browsing around. I'm starting off with a swordsman.

If you like DS2, I strongly encourage you to get DS1 and it's DLC (included in the PC version called DS Prepare to Die Edition). The gameplay is virtually the same but the level design is better and the lore is much deeper and more coherent. If you get the PC version, there's a single mod available that makes it look FAR better.

The fog gates immediately after the old lady fire keepers are kind of a tutorial section that teach you the basics, including parry.

This is a game I don't feel guilty for doing wiki research as I'm playing.

DS2 has become my sole focus when it comes to PC games. Everything, D3, Warframe, Hawken, EVE, and a dozen other titles are all collecting virtual dust.

So far the goddamn poison statues are becoming the bane of my existence. I don't want to reveal any spoilers but to those who know what I'm talking about... Seriously, fuck those statues.

I bought DS1 because I have a few friends that love it.. 30 minutes into it I got ticked off and haven't played it since lol. Not to mention I'm an achievement whore and apparently to get the "own all weapons" achievement you have to play through the entire game at least twice, beating every boss and collecting everything... so screw that.

I'm still running through DS1, just killed the spider lava bitch but now I feel worn out. Might get DS2 soon though, but i'm also waiting on a price drop
