Every part seems to change the steering response a little bit.

I think the next route is to get all of the hard rubber mounts and bushings but I can't imagine the labor costs.

What's the material for STI flexible draw stiffener (ex. steel, aluminum..etc)?
Thanks.

Stainless steel length adjustable rods and lock nuts, damper units are aluminum housings with elastomers, rubber bushings for the screw attachments at each end. The attachment brackets are painted black steel, and two slightly longer unpainted steel replacement bolts at the subframe attachment points (to accommodate for the increase in thickness with the added bracket).

The fine length adjustments are in millimetres (mine are adjusted exactly the same on both sides because my chassis was relatively new during install, I think the design allows for 13mm in length adjustment iirc), the draw stiffeners are designed to have about 3mm of damper travel during use. The Japanese instructions specifically warned to have the lengths adjusted properly to avoid chassis damage during use. However, it never explained why the damper units are at opposite ends for left vs. right side on the BRZ (maybe it did as I don't know Japanese - knowing Chinese helps with understanding the kanji characters), with the other models in the line-up left and right sides are mirrored instead (the Forester chassis is stiff enough to not require draw stiffeners).

This is a very tricked performance part once you realize the installation instructions.

For those that have a CBS BRZ and got the new tS fender garnish, are any of you looking to get rid of the original ones with out the chrome? I'm looking specifically for the driver's side. A body shop bent mine and I honestly don't feel like going back there again. I figure it's easier just to deal with this myself. I'll take the pair if the price is right.

I requested this to be added. You're welcome

These are the bolts to stiffen up/ reinforce the rack. Basically the bolt threads all the way in and goes through a spacer on the other side of the subframe.

By the way, this could probably be done for much cheaper (if you didn't care about OEM) as the bolt size is given on the package and the nut is a standard Subaru part. I only need to see the sizing on the spacer.

You just gotta make sure it's at least a Grade 8 Bolt you're using.

Stiffer rack = steering that gives more feedback/ feels more direct.

Can't say if you will actually feel a difference or not. Depends how you drive your car.
