As a redline warning its useless as the beep is inaudible over motor noise and the drivers eyes have to watch the dash not the track to see the red light in time to react. I need to watch the road.

As a dd the buzzer is audible and you can look at the light. I use it to remind me of the economy shift point. The car is so smooth and quiet at low revs I often dont know what gear I'm in unless I have it set up for paddle shift only as the gear numbers dont display in auto mode, only D shows.

I have mine set to 7200rpm as well to give me a bit of time to react. I originally set it to 7300rpm but banged off the rev limited every time. Even 7200rpm is a bit too close.

I think I use the gear indicator more than the redline flasher. I have mine set to 7000 but I usually just change up when I feel like it.
