If its a carry gun wear it, if its a car gun (not allowed in banks liquor stores etc.) a hidden spot in the car is indeed handy.

Personally I prefer the car flame thrower.

Do the BRZ's have the map pocket on the back of the passenger seat? That's a good hidden place that's out of sight for the times you're out of the car. It's not secure like a lockbox would be, but it's out of sight though I don't know whether the silhouette would show through or not. While you're in the car, I can't help much since I'm shorter and have more room because of that.

I keep my gun in the back pocket of the passenger side seat. Quick and easy reach for me and well concealed.

Good idea except for ease of access. Action beats reaction every time, reaching around is visible.
I'd put it in an open gun rug and poke it between the seat and console with a rag or jacket over it.

A sanctioned armed citizenry increases the number of good guys with guns.
Citizens can often just just flash the piece and goblin runs away.

Cops either have to shoot, or chase and arrest.

Back on topic.......

I have the EDM armrest - taking out the cup holder, my XDm Compact fits in there. However, I never keep it in my car. My pistol is always on my person.

Just put it in your glovebox. I recommend taking something bigger if you think you're going to be in danger.

A knife in the hands of a trained martial artist, is most likely more deadly and prepared than a car jacker with a gun. Another reason why I want to take Mui Tai

Edit: and the fact that im only 5'4"...that might be another reason lol
