Phantom TQ250-24v ordering information update
Update:
Good evening everyone. I have some important updates from Rob on a new ordering process and a new product as well: Moving forward all inquires and requests to purchase a kit for your FRS/BRZ must be sent to Rob via PM to @Robftss. General questions can certainly still be posted here to the thread or PM'd to me personally as well. The funny thing about this product is it seems to be spreading like wildfire. Rob is getting many emails via the website from all different parts of the world and for all different models of car. In order to continue focus on the FT86 platform and the specialized kit Rob has developed for us it will be best to track it via PM. Rob has informed me that 2 more kits have been sent out today and the next batch of 10(left hand drive) will be ready to be shipped early May. If you do NOT have a kit yet or correspondence with Rob saying a kit is on the way please PM @Robftss to place your order. ------------------------- 1.5 dump pack conversion kit: Less than 200$ For those of you looking for a little more bang for your buck Rob has came up with a nice little add on. The 1.5 conversion kit allows you to increase your original dump pack capacity by 50%. This 50% not only allows you to use the system longer it also allows the supercharger to reach higher boost pressure due to decreased voltage droop. The upgraded capacity will fit into the standard battery location with the provided extended battery tray assuming you are using ALL recommended batteries as per post 1 of this thread. Rob is calling this a conversion kit simply because it contains all hardware needed to install and connect the additional batteries to your existing dump pack. This kit does not include the two small inexpensive batteries. These batteries can be purchased and shipped for cheap from Atbatt at the link provide below, you will need 2 @Robftss please confirm this is indeed the correct battery linked below) http://www.atbatt.com/power-sonic-ps...id-battery.asp Now performance....this is what everyone wants. When fully charged and conditioned the additional 50% capacity lets you maintain on average about 1/2 psi more. This doesn't sound like much but it adds between 7 to 10 hp with that power being available more often due to the increased capacity. Shiv has had some dyno time with the dual dump conversion, the 1.5 dump pack offers nearly the same peak performance. Shiv was getting about 11 hp more simply by adding the dual dump pack(same tune). The great thing about these little 9AH batteries is they have many metal plates in them, this is truly great for our application as the more plates allow for higher discharge rates...more boost ![]() Rob has quoted to me a MRSP of under 200 for the conversion which includes all hardware required(not including batteries). Rob also usually includes shipping as standard. I will work on getting the exact cost as soon as i can for you guys. For everyone that is interested in adding this on knowing the approx cost, please PM Rob stating your interest with "1.5 Dump pack conversion interest" As stated before this increase in boost will work with the current TQ250 tune for OFT. The below results were with the DUAL dump pack conversion running Shiv's stand TQ250 tune for 91 octane on their shop car.(Catback, Open Flash Header, modified intake duct) ![]() |

I feel like we are all on the verge of something special. As Fenton stated this is starting to catch fire and I think as more people get a feel for how great this system is the more it will spread. I thank you rob for letting me be a part of this and I also thank all of you guys for making this so much fun to be a part of.

Also PM'd, love the idea of incremental, tested, and cost effective upgrades. Another great release by the crew here and especially Rob!

The fact that we can get most of the benefit of the dual dump kit, with better packaging and less money, makes the the 1.5 kit a total win.

I think the ESC is a true FI alternative, its not some gimmick. For a street set-up where cost/install time/reliability are valued over raw performance its a no-brainer. Only hurdle i see is changing the image of electric superchargers. Right now everyone thinks of them as some kind of scam. Changing people's perceptions take time. |
