I remember driving a Mk5 Golf S and Golf GTI back to back and they don't even feel remotely the same I think mainly due to different tire dimensions (205/50/R16 vs 225/40/R18), steering assist settings (5 vs 3 on VAGCOM), and shock tuning for the most part. They both have spongy feeling brakes with dead travel on the pedal (dam brake boosters).

The BRZ and Boxster feel like real sports cars (and they are) just by simply sitting inside and starting the engine.

Yes. That's exactly why some of us are asking for a higher priced, higher performance version of the 86. We have the ability to pay more, but we don't have the car to buy.

Some of us would be happy to pay $38-40K for a high-spec version of the 86 platform. We don't quite want to get into Cayman money, and the TTS is likely to be around $55 with options (and it's a FWD chassis). A $40K BRZ with more power and the tS equipment (brakes, wheels, chassis mods) would make sense.

But Toyota/Subaru won't give it to us yet. It looks like they will release this kind of car at the end of the run and then complain that enthusiasts don't buy it. That's because the enthusiasts will by then have bought something else. This is similar to what happened with the RX8 R3 and the S2K CR.

I'd happily pay ~35K for STI level performance numbers + suspension + braking. I haven't picked up a BRZ yet, but it's the one nagging thought that won't seem to go away.

If anyone is curious like I was about the bolts, I asked a dealership in Japan for the part numbers and this is what I got:

SU003-05212 (required number: 4)
SU003-05213 (required number: 2)
SU003-05235 (required number: 2)

Nice update for 2015. Hope they bring FR-S concept tail-light to 2016 refresh... but that would piss a lot of people.

Hm, I just noticed something in the spreadsheet I posted.
The colour code for WRB is bolded.. meaning it's a change.

Anyone know if that means a slight change of colour or if it's just a code change?

Hm. I haven't seen that in person yet. The dealership here never has a WRB one.

I have the new WRB WRX, it looks kind of purple-ish at night. I like it more than the old one. They are slightly different.

Some questions.......

I had read maybe a month ago that Subaru "could" reveal the final 2015 model specs for the BRZ on April 29th at some convention. Is this any truth to this?

Also, what are the chances the U.S BRZ could receive larger exhaust tips/shark fin/the new dash for the 2015?

It's possible. The update has been rumored to be entirely cosmetic.
