Nothing too special. Just a set of horns and since the bumper was off I decided to do the intake snorkel mod as well.

Wed night should be fun!
Car: Racing Kart 125 Shifter SS tires Enduro Track: Autumn Ring Mini · 50 laps! · Boost - off · Tire/Fuel Wear - Very fast · Slipstream - weak · Penalty - STRONG · Tuning - prohibited · Max Tire - Sports Soft Dont think any pitsop is required. "GTFO of my way" air horns for the win...
Snorkel mod is trimming back the intake tube so it opens up right outside the airbox. Acceleration sounds much "boomier" on accel even when just revving up in the driveway. Like the first pic in this thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61439 Definitely "sounds like more power", and apparently worth a few hp too according to Shiv (not just placebo effect). And reminds me of my youthful days when I used the flip the breather cover on my parent's old V8. |

Ok ok @Slick and @Pbrown - you've got my number all right
![]() I have a set if Hella Supertines left over from my Corolla - I think they will get installed soon to compete with Slick's girly horn ![]() While in the bumper I'll mid the snorkel - I miss the sound of my old CAI on the corolla

So that s snorkel idea intrigued me so I decided to open up the car and hack mine up also this evening. Didn't notice too much sounds difference. Here are some pictures of my method!

I've seen a few guys mount the horns in the grill - it seems like they're too low for me

I just ordered a Bluetooth OBD2 reader today so that I can link it up to the Torque app.
There is a video overlay plug-in for Torque as well that will be interest to see. |

I thought the stock horn was down low and on the pass side - I'll find out when I drop the bumper yet again...

Actually installed them in the car on Saturday (the Hellas). Went as lazy as possible and used the stock location (meaning one closing to passenger inner fender and one on the passenger side of the radiator) so one can be seen and the other can't. I don't really mind it but some and I definitely wasnt gonna make an aluminium rail to mount them like some others did on this forum. But fucking hell since I've done that my bumper is suffering from the sagging issue
((((((((( be careful of almost certain damages to clips once bumper is removed ... See: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1683109 & http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12659
