I see people putting a ton of logos outside their car based on what they are using but nobody has sponsored them, so essentially they are getting free advertising. Therefore the need to have them sponsor you is less because you are already doing it.

Or unless the chances are higher to get sponsored because you are more willing to put part logos outside?
You do realize that you paid for that sticker right....Just Sayin'....

Depends on the company but there are some companies that will pay you if your car is featured in a magazine and you have their sticker on it. Now others throw the decal in for the hope that someone will just do what you said and advertise for free. Its like giving out a business card in hopes someone will call you later.

Based on the amazing service, product, and response time from the gang at Vishnu Tuning I've put their sticker low on my rear window for a bit. They do an amazing job and I am happy to do some free advertising for them. But it makes me a "ricer" so I'm having second thoughts.
Yes, it is rice. But it seems like you have an issue about it more than anyone. Just let it go and ease up on the sarcasm, bra.

My vote would be that, unless you are sponsored or part of a club or advertising your own stuff, stickers are ugly/dumb/rice/whatever you want to call it.

That said, that is what I think. But if that is what makes somebody happy - go for it.

What is funny to me, is that the most people putting the stickers on the cars usually don't do it for themselves - they do it to get attention from other people. The problem is, most other people think it looks ugly.

Something to consider with stickers -- if you live in a community with a housing/condo association of some sort and park outside (rather than in a carport or garage), their parking enforcement can cite you with a warning for having promotional stickers. It's dumb, but it can happen, and it did to me back in 2003 for a small sticker (maybe 3"x12") that I had on my carbon fiber hood of my Honda. I got two citations, on back-to-back days, though I got them to leave me alone after I called in complaining about it.

I love the idea of "rice". Our tail lights are "rice" (clear led tails), so we inherently have it as part of our car.

It's all bullshit as noted before. Big logos on your clothes and shoes, no issues, baller status. One black, mild sticker in the corner of a window? RICE BRAH!

Say stance looks stupid and you're a "hater". Complain about stickers on a car and get pats on the back. Put on stickers of companies you really like and you're a ricer. Put the same stickers on if you're "sponsered" (ie 20% discount?) and you're not a ricer? This topic is just one more instance where the car community is neurotic, confused, and hypocritical all in the same thread.

Carry on haters.

I agree 100%. I hate our tail lights, I intend on putting Tom's Tail Lights on my car very soon - they look much more OEM and clean than the factory ones.

The entire car is rice because it looks fast and it's not. RICE.
