Why put logos outside of Car?

Mind my name, and I am new to the modification scene. Adding a CF Hood FA style, and they are sending me a sticker. But honestly, why put a logo outside a car that they are not paying me/discount the car? I am not being trolly, just trying to understand this. I see people putting a ton of logos outside their car based on what they are using but nobody has sponsored them, so essentially they are getting free advertising. Therefore the need to have them sponsor you is less because you are already doing it.

Or unless the chances are higher to get sponsored because you are more willing to put part logos outside?

It's because people are ricers. Don't be a ricer.

My car has a Subaru badge and Subaru definitely isn't paying me for it!

Some people like supporting well-made products and letting others know what they have.

It's bragging. People want to make sure everybody else knows which expensive parts are on their car - especially the ones nobody can see. Frankly, I'm the other way with it. I'd rather everybody at the car show think my car is on Rotas; means they're less likely to attempt to steal from me.

Some guys actually are sponsored but the stickers that come in hood boxes are not the kind of stickers that make anyone lead to believe your sponsored. All my stickers I get from that stuff goes immediately onto the refrigerator, that's a better spot for it. Or a tool box, that works too, but leave it off the car for sure.

I put all mine on my iPad case. Also made the dealer take off their little dealer emblem and license plate frame. They weren't willing to work out a fee for advertisement, so it came off. I'll sport a license plate frame of a company I like and have no problem supporting though.

I'm going to start putting stickers all over the outside of my house (Carrier, Moen, Electrolux).

I put stickers on my car to hide scratches!

I use passive word-of-mouth (stickers, logos, etc) to help companies that produce and sell great products or services. Nothing to do with posing as being sponsored, or bragging about expensive parts.

My compensation is getting to enjoy the fruit of the labors of smaller companies. Ones that are disruptive, innovative and imaginative. Tuners, parts manufacturers, suppliers, and even forums ;)

So if a sticker, badge, or license plate frame helps spread the word about the people/companies that bring joy into my life then I promote them. Happily.

Ricer mentality.
