Thanks!
I'm not a pro either, but like PMok said, Manfrotto is good. I like my Vanguard Alta Pro 263AT. It's on the heavy side tho.

Got my emblems from Nigel. Are they really genuine Toyota parts? My bro's Aqua badge came in Toyota plastic. Or are these just bulk packaged?

In general just dont give them any other reason to pull you over. No super crazy tint, run a front plate, don't drive like a ****, etc. CHP is the only ones you really need to worry about, unless you are in Fremont. Lol

Hope you all had a good Easter. Any recommendations for a place in the South Bay to fix a minor curb rash on a stock rim?

If you have the time, you can DIY and save a ton of money.

If not, then I'm sure Memory Fab does quality work: http://www.memoryfab.com/product/1133

I'll just say that because of that Miata, I'll never own a Mazda ever again, let alone want to drive/ride in one.
To be honest, I wouldn't be able to drive it everyday. But, it'll be a fun car to just mess around with. Meh, I need a second car to wrench on.

Should get a car that's old enough to be smog exempt

Do you guys think a K&N panel filter is worth it? I have a $25 Amazon gift card that's just sitting that I need to use up.

Yea, dyno runs show about 5hp gains not to mention, IMO, a more pleasing sound from the engine. At ~$35, 5hp is pretty good compared to replacing the intake which may only net you around 10hp for upwards of $300. If you don't plan on replacing the whole intake in the near future, get the filter. Cheap and easy.

Here's a thread with the dyno results for various filters: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13245

Wow, 5 hp!? What about torque? That's more than the gains I got from my K&N Typhoon SRI on my Yaris. HAHA.

With my Yaris, I got the panel filter, didn't feel any difference, but saved money from buying replacement filters. I then got that Typhoon SRI and stuck with it ever since.

My concern is that they'll start deducting money from this Amazon gift card.

What do you think, K&N > aFe?

I have the aFe dry filter which is nice because it doesn't require "cleaning kits" or re-oiling. Just pull it out, beat it with a stick for a few seconds and maybe vacuum it clean. Oil-based filters always have the potential issue of over-oiling which will damage or affect the MAF sensor.

I don't think it's 100% proven fact, but some dyno testing has proven that a CAI or intake doesn't give you any more power than a drop-in filter and some modification (cutting, reshaping) of the factory snorkel.
