I honestly think using the auto tether on a phone is better than using the built in modem if you bought it. This way you're only paying one data plan.

Just use google maps, and download your route before you leave. Works great.

But, honestly - just get tethering and use a connected navi app like waze. Having the real time traffic information is seriously worth it imho.

Waze is probably the thing I'm most excited about, ordering mine today!

I tether mine to my personal laptop at work and stream netflix/hulu for about 10 hours a day 4 days a week for background noise while I work.

BTW, if that happens you don't have to factory reset. Go to Settings -> Apps -> Play Store and use the "Clear Data" button.

I also had the unit reboot itself twice while trying to use Google Maps navigation. Waze seems to work well though.

can someone give me a hand to fix the "There is insufficient space on the device" error? i check and have over 12.7G free space on C: and 15G on a 32G SD card... i believe it has something to do with dalvik cache, but have no clue what to do...

so far i have i only have Sygic, Torque, Youtube, Waze and one stream player install, please help!!!

I'm sure it's technically possible (and probably quite easy) for Ca-Fi to do. I have no clue if they actually do this though. My gut instinct is that unless there's a separate part # for the RHD units, it's probably not done.

It looks like CaFi has locked down the bluetooth profiles that are allowed to pair with the unit to bluetooth audio and OBD2. I wish they'd open it up so that we could use the full bluetooth stack. There's so much more that could be done (Internet tethering over bluetooth, keyboards, cameras, GPS antennas, etc.)

Might be worth rooting for this capability alone.

you can, just not over bluetooth. wifi only.
