Of course it looks similar to the Dart. Corporate styling. That's like complaining an A3 looks like an RS6.

Don't care, would drive. Eagerly awaiting what the SRT version looks like. Shame it's auto only, but whatever. I wouldn't turn down a free one.

Do they still have transmission issues? My mom went through three of them, and while they definitely handled our family while I was growing up, I remember each of them had the transmission rebuilt at least once. Otherwise, hell yeah. Extremely practical.

Yep, Camaro front-end (pardon my poor photoshop skills)

Yep. Looks like a dart and they took all the "mean" outta it.

In honesty, I think the front end looks far better than the Camaro (and definitely improves over the previous Charger).
The back end is too XL-Dart for my liking, but if the Dart didn't exist, I'd say it looked nice too. Maybe they should've just kept the rear lights/LEDs straight instead of curved.

Same. Two transmissions and one engine.... plus the other repairs

I will say it does look more like the original true Charger now....

I get the Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger remakes.

The Charger, I do Not get at all.

Main thing, Original Charger was a 2 door!!!

Secondly, the new Charger doesn't look like the old one in any way.

Third, the new Charger is UGLY.

Originally, the Mustang and Challenger and Camaro were all considered Ponycars, with the larger cars like GTO, Charger, and others being Musclecars.

These days it's all bunched up into "musclecars", but anything with 4 doors just kills it for me, before I even get into considering it at all.

Yea, never understood that little decision, at all. Obviously Dodge was just cashing in on a nameplate if they are going to ignore something that basic. If I remember correctly, technically the 4-door would have been the Coronet.

^Well I did say "more like" but yea, the new, new one is still way off^

I'm not sure I agree with you fully on this one. As a Charger, it's just not right, but as a nameless four-dour sedan, I sorta like it. If I had to have a four-door, it would be on my list, but would probably get beat out by one of the new Caddies.

if the charger were a 2 door instead of a 4 door, it would compete directly with the challenger and cause a conflict of interest. The charger shares it platform with the Chrysler 300. IMHO it is true that Chrysler just sold out on the charger name plate. Still a decent quick 4 door grown man/family car

At least now I will be less intimidated when a Dodge Dart - I mean Charger - is following me on the streets

I think the Dart is a pretty good looking car. I think bringing the Charger in line with that design theory is a good thing.

I think this version of the Charger is a significant improvement... aesthetically.
