Yes there is significant loss in low end torque. The 4-2-1 HKS doesn't have this issue, is it tuning or the header?

Anyone posting dynos have a tuned baseline vs re-tuned with header?

With all due respect and this is my worthless 2 cents, that is a really jumpy dyno curve considering it's already smoothing 5. You should take a 3rd gear WOT log just to confirm and make sure you are not knocking.

I love my hks on street but it's built to tuck in under oe plate and just too hit for track time
I gonna give Jason my post tax dolla ... Stepped cat less? But I want it so it doesn't tuck in oe plate I want it to run cool for me in phx Ready to order, can a one off be made for me?

Wow thanks for the dynos! So from Shneegles dyno it looks like just a header without a tune is pretty much worthless. HP is about exact same and the torque curve is modified to move the dip around some.

Was that gasket (the oem style that was pictured) new when you installed the header? I had just he opposite results twice now. the Grimspeed's leaked and the oem did not.

so the two results so far show about a 15-19Bhp gain at the wheels, at the top of the curve over a stock car - when its coupled with a decent exhaust and tuned
So how much $/HP is that then? Nice results I feel for a simple bolt on part |

Well for the header and tune its going to be ~$1800 so if you get a 18hp gain then its ~$100 per HP.
EDIT: If you factor in the rest of the exhaust parts then the cost goes way up and your HP return on investment goes down. |
