If the oft has flashed it it will likely be a A01I spec ROM in the cars now.

So just edit the Stage 1 A01I ROM load it up to OFT and flash it.

If the OFT won't flash it then talk to Shiv at vishnu and he will sort it out
I dont think the tablet will let you upload a rom file which is from a different CAL ID. What is the best way to copy over the map contents between rom files? Is there an easier way to do this apart from copy and pasting 50 different maps?

Ive given tuner pro a go, but the def files arent complete - may have copied over too much info and not just the differing tables.

Those old 700I and A00I roms were never defined looks like only A01I is done.

Correct If you have a G series ROM it wont let you load an I series. It also looks at the VIN of the car, so even if the ROM's are the same calid it won't work on another car till you flash back original ROM and erase OFT.

However I believe sometimes it will read your older ROM of the same series in this case 700I or A00I as the base "stock" ROM and it will flash the tunes ROM which is a later update of the same ROM series in this case A01I.

Looks like vishnu has never seen I series ROM's that old.

Assuming these guys have bought an OFT then if it won't let you flash the newer ROM talk to shiv at vishnu and he will sort it out for them.

Or go to the dealer and whinge and bleat that it idles rough and they should flash them to latest ROM.

I'm not rearly sure what you guys are trying to do.

Mate, brilliant service. I was a bit hesitant in trying to generate these maps myself - good thing I didn't have to.

I ordered my OFT last weekend so i am looking forward to trying your map.

For the Aussies here, how long did it take for your OFT to arrive?

How does it look?

Hey guys,

I have done some logging with the stock tune and then the one that Steve99 modified for us.

From having a look at the logs using my very little bit of experience the car seems to be doing a lot better on the OFT-Steve99 map as apposed to the stock map.

At times the stock pulling like -4.28835

Both times I drove pretty aggressively, using LC on the OFT map ( ) trying to test them and see if the IAM dropped.

Please take a look and let me know what you think (both logs posted were the "worst" of a few logs I did.)

https://www.dropbox.com/s/gce9k6ynrtemj1u/Logs.zip

PS: I love the growl at 4k RPM

Your on 95RON fuel still with a bit of octane booster ?

Stock tune looks pretty ordinary IAM dropping to 0.6 and its still registering -4 degrees FLCK with 40% of timing pulled from the "Knock correction max A " Table by the IAM at 0.6.

Looks heaps better knock wise on my modded tune but on your fuel it still need a bit more timing pulled in a couple of areas. At least the IAM is at 1 all the time now so you running full advance. just pull a bit more 5500-7600 maybe 0.5 to 1.0 degrees and maybe a bit around 3000 rpm at load where the correction is over 1.0 degrees, it pretty close though considering its only 95RON fuel.

If you post your logs up to www.datazap.me they are heaps easier to read accounts are free logs limited to 1.5Mb each though just remove un-needed parameter columns of data but you can have many.

Yep all logs with 95 with OB that adds 3RON (supposedly) called NF Street.

Damn, the stock map really isnt too great...

Yeah, its pretty cool how its almost spot on. I'll look at doing another log that I will use as a final base to help me modify the tune. I'll do a 4th gear run up a nice long hill I know of.

One thing I forgot to mention is that the BRZ's here come with a 63mm cat back (removing 1 cat) "performance" exhaust. I'm assuming that should make much of a difference?

Cool thanks man! That site makes it way easier to read the logs!

Is it on the "Base Timing A" area that I make these changes?

The logs say my throttle position is at "86" when my foot is flat. Is that normal?? I thought it should be at "100"??

Mate its "Base Timing B" you need to change "Base Timing A" is for when AVCS failed/limp home mode so leave that one alone. Just have a quick read over original post.

The throttle at "86 %" is normal for that logging when flat out . Does that on Ecutek logs as well.

The exhaust mod might cause you to run a bit leaner but AFR look fine, even a bit rich at WOT. Shiv at OFT said he targets high 11's for AFR on gasoline at WOT on OFT tunes.

This is my log that I noticed my IAM drop to 0.64 after what I would consider very minor knock events. It seems strange that it would drop by such a big figure due to these events.

Would you think that I need to retard more timing due to this or just leave this alone? I have noticed that I have refined my map to the point that it only happens during 6th gear.

Looks like you were getting a bit of FLCK as well as the FBCK as the KC learned curve looks pretty chunky around where the IAM dropped

looks like you might have to pull another 0.35 degrees rpm 2000-2400 around engine load 0.7, 0.8

You could also try different fuel maybe shell 98

Generally you can always induce a bit of knock in high gears high load low rpm, it recovers very quickly so it probably not too much to worry about.

If as you say it only in 6th low rpm high load it probably just best to change drive style a bit.

Flash a stock factory tune and see how bad it is then

I have been daily driving my car on Shiv's stage 1 tune and my IAM has been rock steady at 1 on Shell V-power. I plan to take some logs this weekend and see where things are at more specifically as per your first post. Am i just lucky that it has stayed at 1 or is it more likely the cool weather?

P.S. @steve99 thank you for keeping the first post up to date
