His face is blurred out in the video and who says he's running dealer plates from the dealer he bought it from? My money is on that the GTR was over the bridge and onto public streets driving in a sane manner (so not to draw attention) before the police caught sight of him.

I was not trying to flame you at all, I was just responding to OP who was asking how the traffic stop/ evading would work. I thought the video was bad ass, I sent it to my buddies. That guy has some balls running. Most people dont run in high end cars. To much to loose usually. I watched it on my phone a few days before and I thought the face was visible.

This kind of question really depends on where you live. Getting lost in an urban area is much easier than getting lost on a highway, here anyway. The general idea here is that you might outrun the cop behind you, but you wont outrun Motorola.

I evaded the police in Cimarron river valley in New Mexico in a BMW Z4M Coupe. Very windy & tight road. Got clocked by a Dodge Durango on a narrow straight away coming the opposite way. KA band goes full off on the detector, he slams on his brakes and turns on his lights as I pass but has no way of turning around in that section of the road. I downshift, open the throttle full out and gun it up the mountain towards Eagle's Nest junction. Parked the car behind a motel and went hiding inside a fly fishing shop.

I keep reading that this is a big issue in Europe. So Police and European Union are trying to come up and implement way for them to remote-stop any vehicle of their choosing. It would be a device implemented into all new vehicles sold or something by end of the decade.

It's probably much easier to run from a diesel estate than your average USA police cruiser or highway patrol.

My luck if in that GT-R would have been over the bridge and in the clear only to hit a wall of traffic resulting in being dragged out of the car.

I don't know. I pull over for fire, police, ambulance, and all other emergency vehicles with flashing lights on. I've never been pulled over for traffic violations, just broken lights.

From some of the police video I've seen on TV, it is possible with new equipment to ID plates, vehicle description, and perpetrator's face at high speed.

And yes we do have LEOs on here. One of them hangs out in RT.

I think some of this is based on luck. And i would imagine its easier to loose ppl in like a suburban area cause of many different streets you can take and if you have a lead. This guy once told me how he always slow rolled through the stop sign near hs house. This one time there was a cop there (lol) ... And after realizing he spotted him.. The guy floored it ... He knew his way in that area and he quickly parked his car in his garage and closed it. Another guy, a complete moron, in his golf bragged about loosing cops in the neighborhood streets. I won't be surprised if he has been arrested a couple times now.

I for myself will never try to evade a cop. Rather pay a fine than risk jail time or w.e

If the police put half the effort into catching real criminals, rather than people commiting minor traffic offences, the world would be a better place.

How many burglaries go unsolved every day? And they (police) will basically admit they're not going to do anything about it. Unless of course the guy is doing 10 over the limit when he leaves, then we'll have the entire squad on him to make home stop.
