I have tried looking through the manual for various things, but this one is organized very well, so I have a hard time finding what I'm looking for. :/

I don't think this was mentioned, but in the same menu where you set up the Gear Indicator, there is also an option that says S-On/Off.
S-On = Tachometer needle will shoot up and back down when car is started.
S-Off = Tachometer needle will not move when car is started.

Also, if you're in a BRZ Limited then you will need to set the alarm manually if the dealership did not do it for you:
1) Get in the car
2) press the start/stop button two times, with makes the car to be in the start position (all your dash lights light up)
3) Lock the car with the physical button on the door
4) Press the unlock button on the door and open the door while still pressing the unlock door button.
5) Still pressing the unlock button, wait about 10 seconds, the car will beep once for activated and twice for deactivated and the information panel in the cluster will say either "AL on" or "AL off"

I just tried this.

I work occasionally on the second floor of an industrial building with steel panels for exterior walls, which blocks essentially all cell services etc, except for walkies. I've tried my remote start from inside the building many times and it never worked, I tried even getting steadily closer to the exit doors but it never worked until you were physically standing outside the exterior walls.

Today I was deep in the building where it never worked before, put the remote to my chin, opened my mouth (not sure why because you didn't provide those instructions), and viola, chirped on and when I got to my car nice and toasty. AMAZING!!!!

I'm going to keep trying it obviously now, but if this was a one time fluke I'd be very disappointed.

I hope this is an ok place to ask this question, I have a 10 series with the HID headlights and I am not seeing the LED strips come on at any time? I thought they were DRL's and besides that I'd like for them to be on at all times, am I missing something here? Do I need to have this standard feature activated by the dealer or something?

AFAIK they only light up if you're driving with no beams turned on (same behavior as the DRL in my FRS).

There's a DIY here somewhere that allows you to have it on all the time, though it may require cutting factory wires which I don't really like doing.

Sent from my phone. Might have typos. Sorry.
