THis is very true - the little "nub" of a key doesn't allow you to use much leverage, so you have to turn it pretty hard - it does (eventually) open though, and you will have sore thumb and index fingertips, but also an opened trunk

Honestly the trunk isn't the most secure either - I had stuff in there that knocked it open under spirited driving

I had issues with the key also. Trying to the point I thought it was going to break off. Never was able to get it open. I ended up folding the seats and flipping the switch through the cabin.

i feel like i need to make a video about this

it's hard to turn the key, because the key hole is designed to place key very awkwardly.

instead of grabbing the plastic end part of the key to turn, try using the metal ring attached to the plastic end part to turn the key

it delivers force much better and easy on your fingers.
