Welcome to the forum!

I'm sorry about your paint chip, and that it's going to be a pesky repair. Unfortunately these cars do have thin paint (high performance weight reduction).

I'm amazed that you fit comfortably in the car at 6'4"

Hopefully your car brings you many more years of enjoyment

Nick C.

If you think the blind spot on this thing is bad, try driving a 350Z. Night and day difference. Good read, the love may fade but it won't die!

Update:
The bumper has been re-painted, picked up this afternoon. Looks good. As best as I can tell they matched up well. Happy about the car, not happy about the price. Oh well.

I feel very comfortable guessing he didn’t even realize the car was rear wheel drive. He does now, that’s for sure.

Have fun at your track day! It sounds like you will love it.

Nice read. I always appreciate reading well written posts. I share a lot of the same impressions about the car, except I have a hard time choosing between the BRZ and the bike...

Don't worry too much about the track days, they sound rather intimidating to a first timer, but you'd be surprised how laid back they are. Just go and have fun. Your instructor will help you keep everything in check. You don't need to be balls-out fast, just drive as fast as you feel comfortable, learn track etiquette and how to navigate the course and you'll do fine. However, you'll be hooked...

Good read OP.

You and I are pretty similar in situations... older guys, love the FRS!

We've made similar mods, though different brands. I swear these little cars were made for us old coots.

I've already swapped springs, kept the stock shocks for now (koni's later), for a set of the Eibach Prokits. Perfect drop and ride - no scrubbing.

Nice ride, really dig your wheels.

I have thought about just doing springs for now, but I don't have a garage, don't have the tool arsenal, don't have the skills, time or the patience to work on the suspension. So, that means I am paying someone else to do that so I am going to wait until I do it all at once.

How do you like the TRD QuickShift? Been thinking about picking one up, but no real reviews that I can find. Thanks!
