It's hard to pass up on a deal like that. The BRZ LMT just prices out better than an FRS. More bang for the buck. I hadn't thought about a '13, but w/ 14 LMT's going for 25.5-26.8 or so, I'm going to have to check on leftover 2013 inventory up here in New England. |

The suspension is really driver preference. As far as the differences, not much especially if you get a monogram or rs fr-s. It's all just minor cosmetics.

Maybe you just had super low expectations and were surprised, but there's no way your butt dyno legitimately thinks this car is faster than either of the cars you referenced.

My "butt dyno" hah. That's funny. I need to remember that. The Camaro has 323hp. It felt like it didn't move. To me. Maybe to someone else it would feel different. Mostly it was because the suspension was so plush, you didn't feel the road. I can get a better deal on a Camaro and it has 100 more hp, but I'm likely not getting it. That must mean something. I can't imagine what you guys do to people who come on here and don't love your cars. |

Ok see that makes more sense and something that I would consider accurate. In the OP you said hauls ass more. To me, that means in a straight line. And yes. I bought this car because I wanted to get back to basics after having a 550whp Evo IX.

(Just wondering, are there any women on this site? I can't tell from the screen names. Do women drive this car? Manual versions of the car? Are you guys like 20 or older?)

It's all about hp which is so funny if you consider what the cars had in the 80's. I collect muscle cars/sports cars, '70's/'80's, F body Camaros/trans ams, and they have like 200 hp. I have a vette from that era that maybe has 200+ hp. Now, they are going hp crazy and it's a competition between the mustang/Camaro/challenger. The fact that you can go out and buy a 400hp car is insane.

There are a few women on the board. There's a thread for the women drivers. I forgot what section it's under but search for women drivers and it should pop up. I'm currently 23 about to be 24.

I think in NA form car is very plain or even boring for street use and it doesn't feel fast at all.
"Fast" is a very subjective and bold term. How do you define "fast"? For a person who owned Vettes, modded turbo cars, Sportbikes this car is nowhere near fast (or any car in general, lol). However, it has a lot of potential with its lighter and newer platform, aftermarket support and active community and aren't we all here for the very same reason?

After reading your posts I think it's safe to say that either one of the twins will be much better suited for what you are looking for than the Camaro would be. The clutch is really a non issue after an hour (much lighter than the one in my Vette although the shifter is not as smooth) This car ranks as one of the most enjoyable that I have ever owned. The whole is more that the sum of the parts, especially with a few modifications. The talk about the car not being fast just drives me nuts considering fast and powerful are not always the same thing. This car can be driven very very quickly both on the street and on the track if you ever have that whim. As mine sits right now I much more often choose it to go hoon around in rather than the much more powerful garage mate sitting next to it. Good Luck in your decision, hope to see you as part of the community PS For those who think it gets rude in here, go watch the Vette owners argue over black or chrome wheels. (Mine are black BTW)
