From what I'm seeing of the Japanese text regarding the "Crystal White Pearl", it is an option, meaning you have to pay extra to get that color. I wonder if this will happen in the US, especially since white seems to be the most popular color on these cars.

Pearl white paint has been always been an additional cost for the twins...

Has it? I never even considered white, so I guess I missed that. I thought all the paints were the same price.

EDIT: Actually, after a quick look, it's only an extra cost on the Scion. Satin White is not an extra cost on the BRZ.

I just hope they bring those 16 inch rims to north america. I want to use them as my winter rims instead of the steelies I currently have. Cost about 3k to get them imported right now unfortunately.

FYI, they added 7th color: Ice Silver Metallic aka 10 Series Ignition Silver (iirc)
Correct me if I misunderstood Google's translation of that 2nd article, but was Tada saying that they decided to not increase the cars performance (power) because they felt it would leave out early adopters? Sounds like they only wanted to introduce upgrades that would also be accessible to owners of previous gen 86's. Interesting choice if true, and I wonder how things will turn out now that there is no power bump in the near future.

If power is coming at some point, it's not coming before the next Miata, Nissan and Kia thingies get released first.

I hope this is just a beginning of yearly updates. Was really hoping for an OEM liquid-to-liquid oil cooler.

Guy's my Yaris has a wonderful TRD spring strut package, this car still doesn't have TRD struts and the spings are iffy (rumors of discontinuing, defective, etc). TRD has done practically nothing of value for our cars.

Forester has one (oh and a turbo too.) Sometimes I get frustrated and think we would be so much better off if Toyota would just turn this car over to Subaru in 2016.

The first gen WRX wheels can be found in good condition, they are 16 inch and look great with a drop. Could hold you over for little $'s.

More like, he wanted something current owner can update, instead of leaving them & getting screwed

Thank god. LOL

I'm quite happy that the update is minor...that means most of us can just add a shark fin antenna and no one will know

I was still expecting more though. Like a revised intake and tune and better factory transmission fluid or something. I hope they at least made unannounced fixes for all the problematic parts like the leaking engine oil plate, noisy fuel pump, lamp condensation, ECU problems, broken CV joints, etc.. I don't want to buy it until it's reliable enough at the very least. I can't afford to have my car sitting at the dealership for weeks being repaired like many others on here have.

That can be said to almost all the new cars.

Anyways all the stuff have been notified & discussed.
