Make sure you change out those powerbands at regular intervals. They lose their elasticity and become brittle over time.

If you turn the wheel far enough that you have to move your hands on the wheel, you can't reach the paddles anymore.

Did you use the red powerband for low end, the blue one for top end or the black one for more power everywhere?

Keeping the other bike, though - my 10 year old likes to ride her ATV (trying to get her away from the dark side this year) and my nearly 5 year old is ready to start riding.

My commuter car is a Prius with 322k miles on it. I ride motorcycles on the weekend (FZ-09, if you ride, get one of these!!!). Coming back to the Prius is making me crazy.
I want a manual. I haven't tried the AT, but manual cars are fun. The FRS was all over the road though. I wonder if the BRZ is similar. It felt like the rear was sliding. |

The money from my bike is likely going towards the Phantom Electric Supercharger and Open Flash Tablet.

The rear slides relatively easily in the BRZ, as well (compared to a "normal" car), but what you're describing sounds "looser" than either car would normally be. I haven't driven the FRS, but in the BRZ I have to intentionally want the rear wheels to slide - i.e. gas it hard turning after a stop or corner it at the limit (which is a pretty high limit if you're driving at or near the speed limit - heck, the BRZ will take most cloverleaf on ramps at nearly twice the recommended speed without sliding. Of course, if you jerk the wheel a bit, then all bets are off).

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() YEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! Jen, I love you. We can be friends now. I have a 91 VR4 sitting in my front yard. I just got some new TD05 turbos for it and getting the engine built by Pampena motor sport after I get the crank. But as far as we know so far, Mitsubishi is saying they MAY bring back the 3000GT or at least a 3000GT inspired successor since they officially killed of the Evo (thank God). It's going to be a Hybrid though. Couple interesting reads if you haven't read them yet....... https://autos.yahoo.com/news/mitsubi...120023682.html http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/mitsubi...0gt-set-return / ![]() ANYWAY, welcome to the forum first and foremost. Sorry for the paranoia as FR-S owners we get that alot. I gotta agree with the others. It feels fast because it's light, low to the ground, and gearing ration (which I'm kinda surprised hasn't been mentioned yet). I can tell you this. You want to kill cars on the road get up past 5k RPM. that's actually when you'd start pulling on cars. I can tell you from experience I kept pace with a V8 mustank (year before 5.0's came out) and beat a charger from a stop light as well as a Infinity Q45.... Or I.... Can never remember. Turbod, their some beasts.

Yeah, I'm done racing people. They will take your car away now. It's not worth it.
(Pampena is great...I actually just emailed Steve yesterday about working on one of my cars) The reason I got the Challenger was that I wanted a VR4. I love those cars, the turbos, awesome car. My husband said no way, get a new car. I was going to get a base camaro. I got his favorite car ever, a plum crazy purple Challenger. He drives it 95% of the time. It's okay. I love him and it makes him happy. So, four years later, I'm once again looking. The Camaro looks nice but doesn't have what the FRS does, the feeling you get. I really thought, "what could this thing possibly do with only 200 hp?" Apparently a whole lot! |
