I 'm waiting to see the GT Limited "red" trim will be the last version to come soon in 2015 or 2016, and that is done for this car.

Here is an english links for a version of the article:

http://en.responsejp.com/article/2014/04/09/220840.html

Tidbits I got out of the article (keep in mind, this is a Japan announcement, and also it was a fairly decent but far from perfect Google translate of the page)

Quote:
- it will start selling from June 2 was partially improved the "86". Improvements up to the improved ride comfort and handling stability

-described by increasing the binding rigidity by thickening the flange portion of the bolt, the adopted a method of controlling the body rigidity.

-body rigidity is increased, suspension settings as well because you will need of course, was also improved shock absorber.
---

From the english version of the article, which is more summarized:

Quote:
A partial upgrade of the Toyota 86 will go on sale from June 2.

Toyota aimed to improve the vehicle’s steering safety and driving comfort. After re-examining the 86’s shock absorober friction, the manufacturer decided to perform some tuning on the model’s suspension.

the shark fin type antenna will become standard equipment, and the instrument panel’s design change (GT, GT Limited) includes carbon-tone details, and brings a sportier look to the model.

In addition, a total of seven color options for the exterior body are now available, including Ice Silver Metallic and the new Crystal White Blue (option).

The model will go on sale between ¥2,056,909 and ¥3,147,709.

Ice Silver Metallic

Interior Shot. Minor differences?

Galaxy Blue Silica? Crystal White Blue? WRB?

And, a slideshow of colors / interiors.

http://en.responsejp.com/article/img...40/559655.html

Don't know if these are old images or new ones. Can see the shark fin. That suspension does appear more tuned too. Can really see the differences a bolt change makes.

And some improved, 86 TOYOTA
Was partially improved 86, Toyota stores nationwide, Toyopet store, Toyota Corolla, through the Nets shop, TOYOTA will release on June 2.

86 GT "Limited" (6 Super ECT) (Crystal White Pearl) <car with extra equipment>
86 GT "Limited" (6 Super ECT)
(Crystal White Pearl)
<Car with extra equipment>
In part of this improvement, etc. review the friction characteristics of the shock absorber, subjected to tuning the suspension and improve both ride comfort and handling stability. Furthermore, in addition to the standard equipment roof antenna Shark fin type, and design changes (GT, GT "Limited") the instrument panel which has been subjected to carbon decorative, interior and exterior is trying more sporty.
In addition, the skin color, it is set to 7 colors, including new color Crystal White Pearl (optional), ice silver metallic.

I translated the page using google and it looks like it's just suspension upgrades, carbon fiber panels and a sharkfin antenna

I also saw in a 2015 BRZ thread that Ice Silver Metallic was announced.

Yeah looking at pictures of the Forester and other Ice Silver Metallic, it looks pretty darn close. That Toyota picture has lighting that darkens the color quite a bit.

I'm trying to think of any car available in the US that you can buy completely stripped out and ready for modification instead of loaded with crap you don't want. At least give us the /option/.
