Magnaflow would be the better option? They also said they stock a brand called Xlerator.. They also said I'm welcome to request a specific brand. So for mufflers what would you suggest in the same price range?

Pretty sure the Magnaflows are glasspacks (perforated tube with sound deadening material) which tend to give deep tones. Have one on my Miata, very happy with it. Quiet idle, no droning, but deep bass tone on hard acceleration.

I have a motive overpipe and front pipe (no cat or resonator) and custom 2.5 catback to a magnaflow muffler. It drones like a bitch! I would get them to put a 6" resonator if your going to do a custom catback.

Mine is also nice and deep under 3k rpm then it begins to rasp.

And they're going to do a dual magnaflow setup or just a single?

I'll agree with this guy.

My eclipse gsx has a magnaflow turbo back on it. Granted my idle is pretty loud, it's a straight through, no cat or res, 3" to a magnaflow 3" to 3.5". Nice growl under throttle, no drone, and sounds beast at idle.

Friend got a turbo back exhaust (3.5) for his gen coupe for only $250. People seem forget that you need to drop 1k on a exhaust for this car when they can go to there local exhaust shop and save half on a exhaust, more if they buy the pipe for the shop.

I've basically settled on the Magnaflow part#12266 and now I'm deciding on tips. 3.5" is the tip size of the OEM ones. Would 4.5" be too large/look ridiculous?
