I'm sending pm's out now to anyone who ordered the kit to let me know what radio they plan to use. I want to make sure as they send out that fitment should be fine on the application.

Again if anyone needs to return it or change over to beat sonic I am a dealer for them as well.

I used this kit and modified it to work with a Kenwood DDX-719. Chop, epoxy, bondo, sand, and will wrap tomorrow.

The tabs gave a great platform for the bondo.

FYI the enfig kit doesn't work with this HU unless you cut it apart and do what i did and you need to redrill the metal brackets to recess the HU.

pretty much confirms my suspicions, with out redrilling the back of the kit opening hits the chassis of the headunit before the OEM bezel snaps in, correct?

Yup. And the tabs on the kit interfere with some parts on the rear of the dash piece. In short the kit wasn't made for this car.

Prime, if you don't think this surround is going to work with my head unit or you aren't going to ship it to me, please refund my money.

If you use this kit like I did it is worth the money. I chopped it up and epoxied it to the dash trim panel and then used it as a backing plate for bondo that correctly sized the radio opening. Bondo picture is a few posts above. Here are some more in process and the final result.

Great job! I especially like the vinyl wrap on the silver next to the ventilation controls!

This thread is from 2012 and the kit is widely considered to be subpar.
