Just ordered a full retrofit from TRS and will be doing a full retrofit DIY guide. Already ripped open the headlights to start painting them.

Here's what I ordered

D2s Morimoto 5Five DSP
55W d22 xb35 5000k
H11/H9/H8 relay

Bi-Xenon Morimoto Mini D2s 3.0

I have the chrome winjets and will be doing a full guide on how to make them look as JDM as possible (by painting the bottom part)

I have 55w on my FJ, and love it. I live in texas, and spend too much time on completely dark roads. maybe not in the FR-S but it's a nice to have.

I'm hoping to have it done by the end of the week. Probably won't include how to actually install them into the car because that's been done plenty of times

This forum is just lacking in a full retrofit DIY so I figured I'd do it. When I did my first set on my FJ, the guide was really comprehensive and didn't leave me asking any questions. Now I can do it without even thinking about it.

Don't be intimidated by it guys, it's really easy. If you don't feel comfortable doing it with your oven, just get a cheap $15 heat gun from harbor freight. The sealant from the winjet factory isn't too tough at all (maybe a little concerning for anyone that doesn't retrofit - I'm not sure). I'll be using 3m window weld

I had 55's on my motorcycle for a while, they are very bright, i'd get flashed all the time from people thinking i had my high beams on. I eventually switched back to 35's since they are still plenty bright.

projectors and ballasts will be here tomorrow. After I glue it all back up, I'll post a half way done guide tomorrow. I plan to also include how to wire the DRL's up to an add a fuse that's attached to the ignition. this way those DRLs are always on

Seal them before install? Aren't they just plug and play ready to go?
