Saying cars can't be compared because they are different is an incredibly simple thing to say. You don't compare things that are the same. Different is what makes comparisons worth making

Yes. However you have a mix of RC350 F-Sport, and RC-F pictures. The blue and orange (orange is a photoshop as it's not the actual "new orange" color), the white is F-Sport, the silver was a regular RC350 although the rear does not differ from F-Sport. And the last photo is a photoshop of the RC-F.
I think his price range will be more F-Sport than the RC-F. |

Get the FRS or RC350.
You have your whole life to get a sport sedan once you start a family. Getting into a small sports car when you have a family is not the most sensible/responsible thing to do. |

Right now its a moot point till I pay this car off. I could pay it off now but I want to fulfill the full term to boost my credit some.
I'm not rich by any means I would say I'm comfortable mid middle class. That being said though I have no debt other than about 3k left on my current car and 10k left on student loans. I am single and have no kids. I love sedans but also like coupes. The genesis had my attention until the FRS came out. As for other two door cars I'm not really interested unless its Toyota because of the discount. But also here's my opinion on them Mustang - no because I will never buy anything with a ford nameplate due to their crappy motor that's in my Mazda 6. Camaro - would have considered since I owned a 91 Camaro that was great but I want something more nimble and also I will not buy a GM vehicle since it became government motors. Genesis - the FRS blows it away as it stands. If in the next genesis they lighten it up and make the handling more comparable to the FRS I may consider it again. All in all I have test drove a FRS and a is 350 f sport and I love both if them. I could see myself being extremely happy in either of them. Where I'm torn is this The Lexus I would not mod and would keep mostly stock. The FRS I would probably moderately mod. The Lexus would have higher resale value. Insurance would be close to the same for either because the two doors negates the increase in value of the Lexus I think maybe the best thing to do would be wait and continue to drive my Mazda until the RC350 comes out then test drive that and then maybe we will have more details on the 2016 FRS at that time. |

I know you said you're looking at Toyota/Lexus/Scion because of the employee pricing, but if your budget is ~43k with that why not look at some other cars?
The 2015 WRX/STi will be available in a few weeks, and the reviews on the handling are VERY favorable. A base STi starts at ~36k and falls well within your budget. That will definitely have the power you're looking for but seems to be built using what Subaru learned from the FT-86, so it should be even more tossable and fun than it is now. That said it doesn't have a Lexus badge. |
