don't need boost because it's gonna be n/a. it would just be a vacuum gauge.
![]() really only need IAT if it's boosted, see above, so we don't need that. a/f and EGT are good for tuning purposes. it'll come with water temp. fuel pressure isn't going to be very worthwhile for direct injection. oil temp and pressure would be good for trackdays, temp more than pressure. usually if you lose oil pressure, no gauge will help you catch it before it becomes a SERIOUS problem for your engine. besides, if you lose oil pressure, not much you can do about it, whereas if the temp starts going up, you can back off and let things cool a bit.

No seriously, in the 86 I can tell if the oil is low / needs changed if the needle moves but a fraction of an inch (if not less) down. And by low, thats typically 3/4 to 1 quart low, far before any serious problem could occur. I <3 my oil pressure gauge. |

on a track, however, it's far less useful. the way i usually determine if my oil is low is by using the dipstick, haha.
![]() for daily driving, absolutely, it's a great gauge to have. and it still is useful on track, but i think an oil temp gauge is a little more useful. that's all i really meant.

Honest answer for me & my car does burn oil when I go to track on summer (1/3~1/2 quart every 1500miles). I usually do full fluid check day before track day, so most of the time I don't need to monitor it at all at the track, but my friend's Prelude is different story... I, myself have no clue what he did to that Prelude to make it that fast (for Prelude) and had several problem at the track (few oil spills), so it's important for him to monitor it.

Unless it's a turbo or comes with a digital gauge like the GTR, do you see any benefit from adding extra gauges?
