I've only run the current SD tune. Currently using a 3 bar MAP sensor, gtx2867, and 2.5" DP back exhaust. Car hasn't been jerky in low RPMs. Granted, I have to use the throttle differently than if it was NA, but that's to be expected, no?

I expect a little different, but I don't have any logic to support that. Mine felt like I was part of a rodeo below 3k. I'll have to try out SD magic soon.

I am assembling the motor now. I should have it all buttoned up (on the stand) tonight/tomorrow. Might have the engine and turbo kit back in the car this weekend. If not I have a full day open specifically for your car next week. I might be able to squeeze you into Bills tuning schedule next week too. |

Super stoked to finally get the headers/DP ceramic coated. Should've done that from the beginning.

My headgaskets are fine and mine is the first one they built so if any one would've messed up it should've been mine, so it's not the torque and or the procedure

We have built many of them and are aware of the torque sequence/procedure. Over boosting or too much timing is usually the cause.

I switched it to E85 and ramped up the boost over a few tanks to 22psi (I believe it was tuned for 24 psi, but I never felt the need to crank the MBC up any further lol). I switched off of the E85 tune after a few weeks. There were some big rough spots in the tune where there was major power loss at specific RPMs (4.5k I believe), and cold+warm starting was really bad. It was fairly consistently a 3 attempt start, even when warm. I got tired of this really quick and had a track day coming up so I switched back to 91 and back to 15psi. I did an oil change days before the track day, with redline 10w30 (I saw FullBlown mention they use this on their engine builds). I filled up a blackstone labs bottle but never sent off the oil to get checked, I should send that in and see if there were any signs of coolant prior to the track day. The track day went fairly poor. About 2 laps in you'd see the coolant temp go to about 3/4 on the dial. I'd have to do a parade lap to cool it down, then another 2 laps before stopping. I ended the day early as it just wasn't any fun babying it. I talked to LJ and as always, he does something unexpected and sent me the SPAL fans + shrouding he was working on for free so I could try it out I installed the fans and noticed the oil leak was worse than expected, oil was absolutely everywhere inside the engine bay. Not fun scraping it off the bumper. I had a few friends from ft86 come over to help install the radiator shrouding and fans. Most of the time was spent cleaning up oil lol. We bled the coolant system and the the levels didn't fluctuate enough for me to notice (I filled when cool, but always checked when hot so I can't be sure).I never switched back to the E85 tune, so I don't really understand how 15 psi caused this issue. I drove it down to @Infamous Performance to swap GT2871R -> GTX3076R, Perrin 2.5 OP + FP. Shortly after @DeliciousTuning started working on it he noticed something was wrong with the car. He never took the car into boost, but the guys at the shop could tell there was a smell of coolant from the exhaust and the coolant in the overflow tank was expanding. FML. I'll make a full write-up once I have the car back, with dates and whatever pictures I can get. I'll go send in the blackstone labs oil container that has been sitting on my counter for months. That should hopefully tell me how long the problem had been going on for.

I'm sold on the gtx28 with stock compression. I specifically chose it over the 30 and made some serious tq as well. Much more than a gtx30 tuned by the same tuner.
