I toggle back and forth between oc and sd...

In sd there are a few, but closest to oc would be oceanside or carlsbad.

Heading up to the oc, you have nothing until huntington beach, fullerton or anaheim...nothing in the rsm, lake forest, irvine, mission viejo etc

What sucks for us in Cali(or socal anyway) is that e85 isnt WAAY cheaper like it is in the rest of the country...for example, I just filled up with e85 for like $3.89 a gallon or some bs. Granted, 91 was $4.20ish, but still...

The last few weeks it was similar here. About a $.30 difference compared to 93.

Went to fill up at Valero in Newburgh yesterday (just pump) and the e85 nozzles were wrapped up like they were out of order. This is the second time in like 3 weeks i've seen this done - hoping it stays, as If I ever get my damn tune straightened out I will be on flex fuel.

I live up the road from this station. They let me fill once after the thing was on. What do you drive? I might have seen you around.

No, you're just lucky as hell. E85 requires a LOT more fuel per combustion event (stoich 9.76:1 instead of 14.7:1 like gasoline). Perhaps your tuner is running you lean at cruise rpms? You can essentially run up to 15.8-16:1 afr at cruise without any problems, you will lose torque though.

Either way, don't call someone's tune bad based on solely your own experiences...
