A good rule of thumb for any aftermarket light is to seal them with a strategically-placed bead of silicone before installation...
They almost always have condensation/fogging issues eventually if you don't seal them yourself |

You need to seal the area where the lens meets the black plastic. The same 2 parts you would separate if you baked them. |

I've always wondered with the whole baking thing, is it actually safe to bake it in an oven? My friend wants to open his up to get it painted, but I told him a heat gun would probably be safer but would take longer to open. Also I heard that the seal is just a rubber gasket instead of Butyl rubber like most headlights.

Read yesterday heat is needed....but you can use a heat gun! Safer for sure...but baking isnt dangerous if youre smart and mind the oven

10 minutes at 200 is not exactly dangerous. Using your oven will make for more even heat over the heat gun.

Just concerned of possible toxins being released due to the rubber weakening.
