I definitely dig it. To me it has an almost Italian pitch to the sound rather than a typical Japanese 4banger sound. I am a bit biased, however. I have to say that I'm surprised how the video sounds like the car actually sounds. At least when I listen to it on my home theater setup. Best part is my exhaust setup was under $1250 including grimmspeed gasket set, header, trackpipe, shipping and my free labor.

Installed mine today. I was checking for exhaust leaks under the car with my girlfriend revving it. I noticed condensation water shooting out from between the header and the overpipe. It stopped in less than a minute as the header heated up.
Would that indicate an exhaust leak? I couldn't really hear any additional noise while being directly under it. |

Ceramic Coating
Long thread, so I don't know if it's been mentioned already, but I've used Swaintech's White Lightning for underhood heat reduction on NA, FI, street, and race cars. Best product I've found; massive drop in underhood temps. Details here, definitely low-bling factor although you can always paint it, no affiliation: http://swaintech.com/race-coatings/r...aust-coatings/
Some discussion of it here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45776 |

I've used that stuff before. I agree, it's the best heat coat I've encountered.

Any drawbacks to double stacking the gaskets like that?

Nope, I ran double oem gaskets on my nameless front pipe for about a year (including a few track days) because I had an exhaust leak on initial install.

Well I tried the OE + NP gasket with no luck. Grimmspeeds are next.

You might want to try loosening everything up (all exhaust connections) then re-tighten them starting from the header and moving back. That has worked for me on a few occasions where I had leaks.
