Like other people said, it really does look better in person and the interior isn't that bad. They were willing to give me a really good deal right on the spot, but I must wait to until I test drive the FR-S/BRZ!

Were they willing to sell at invoice already?

They went $500 under MSRP. Not invoice, but it's not bad considering it just came out and that that particular dealership just got them in yesterday.

Yeah not bad. Invoice is a little over $1000 below MSRP? So they offered between invoice and MSRP? Will probably be selling at invoice after a few months.

I guess I should have been clearer...a facelift to remove the facelift.

I did not get a good feeling from that video at all. He didn't paint that car as being anything to jump about. Pausing transmission? Wth....is it partly Auto or something, or just that crappy in engineering?

Wait until you drive the FR-S and realize how much power it doesn't have.

I didn't test drive the manual because:
a) They didn't have one on hand
b) Im not looking for another manual

I never said the car was no good, I said the handling/interior wasn't on par or better than my MS3, which I would expect in RWD "sports car".

People jumping ship on the FRS/BRZ because of price and saying they can get a Gen Coupe with more HP for the $$$, need to go test drive one before making their decisions, that's all Im saying.

Can I please get these "rave reviews"? Here's one regarding the manual 2.0T Track, basically saying the same thing I was saying about the handling :

Badge loyalty I can understand. Badge snobs?

We're lucky the Gen Coupe, FRS, and BRZ are even being made and we can choose between them

Take a regular front-heavy FWD car, for example, a Mazda 3 with 60/40 F/R weight distribution. When you do hard-braking, the COG moves to the front, and this is weight transfer. How much weight is transferred to the front is based on how hard you brake. For a high COG car with most nose heavy, doing hard-braking puts load to the front wheels, and thus limits the ability to turn.

I am *guessing* that while doing this hard braking, the COG of such car actually move close to, but probably not over the front track. Because it if it went over the front track, the car may flip forward, just like hard-stopping a bicycle only using the front brake. Since car brakes at both front and rear, this flipping forward scenario does not happen.

If you try hard-braking a SUV or a Mini Van you will feel the weight moving forward. That is just physics and momentum working.

Indeed, having a lower COG will give you go-kart feel since go-kart really represents a smaller scale F1 race cars (most F1 drivers starts from go-kart just so you know). However, would you care to explain the two sentences in bold with more details?

Not to be disrespectful, but that's a little inappropriate for a mod.

Well why don't you sign up, sunshine. Hell, you don't even want the car 'til they offer the hatch, so how 'bout you go do some policing elsewhere?
