Might be passing through T-bay at some point if I go visit my brother in Emo, ON (Emo is just west of Fort Frances)

The winding roads between the Sault and T-Bay up Hwy 17 I'm sure would be fun to do (minus all the road construction)

I can't say which fuel is better for WOT situations, though I would guess the 94 would have a slight advantage. I find the car drives much better on the Canadian tire fuel but on a hot summer day when I really want to push the car I would like the added safety factor of the 94 octane fuel.

Canadian Tire 91 should be cheaper than Shell 91 right? Shell 91 is actually quite expensive for 91 octane fuel. price for shell 91 is around the same price as other brand 93.

I have both a Shell and an Esso by my house. I normally fill Shell 91 for no ethanol, and no chirps. I've received one of those Esso discount cards lately, and I plan to use it until it expires, so I've been putting Esso 93 in. It's chirp city.

Try putting Esso 91. I'll bet the chirping goes away.

It does. I tried this particular experiment a few months back. Once the lines are empty of Esso 93, the Shell makes the chirps go away. I was just posting my observations for everyone.

I've been to elliot lake countless times but have never been to the sault let alone thunder bay, but I have some cousins up in thunder bay


Does any one know if the oem ecu is sensitive enough to get used to a single gas brand/octane? I've always been told to reset the ecu if you are going to go from using 89 to 91, but is the ecu sensitive enough to readjust timing for differences based on different fuel compositions of the same octane?
