OFT quick review.

hey guys, i think it is only right for me to write about this product as best i can.
First off, the tablet itself is of pretty good quality, i did think from the pictures it would be a bit bigger but it fits quite nice and no real downside that i can think of.
Now onto the flashing. As i was following the directions i ran into a little problem.
my ecu rom was so old (700c) that i could not write any of the files onto my car,( shiv figured this out obvs not me lol ) i got a bit worried. I sent a quick message to shiv, sending him my original file so he could analyse it. He sent me all the .bins files through email with a quick video instruction, and i was ready to flash in under 1h. This really is super simple to do as i am a tuner "noobie", and i found this really simple to follow.
After the flash( stage 1 for now ) i waited around 5min before i drove off, some idle issue was happening but i am quite sure it was the car relearning the new values, so not to worried there. I drove around 30km and the idle issue instantly went away, throttle response became much faster, torque increased quite noticeably between 3000k-5000k rpm, and i had a huge smile on my face emptying half my tank as i did not notice i was driving it for 2h+ lol.
The car idles a bit higher and i use to have idle dip issues which completely went away now, the car just feels more alive and responsive and i must truly say that it really is the best 500$ i ever spent.
I gotta give credit where credit is due and i must thank shiv for the ridiculously fast responses to my answer, great customer care, im really impressed.!
all in all, i highly recommend the tablet

I wonder

If I am going to have the same ECU problem. My car was bought June 13 and I am about to order the OFT next week. Was hoping it was just plug and play. Thanks for the favorable review though.

If you car was purchased in 2013, you probably have A00C software which is compatible with the OFT auto map generation. So you shouldn't have to manually upload an OTS map.

Thanks for the review OP!

out of curiosity what's the difference between A00C and A01C? Build date maybe?

OFTs are in stock as of yesterday. So same or next day shipping depending on when in the day the order is placed. Shipping itself takes 1-3 days

I ordered late last Sunday night, so it's possible it came in today, will check when I get home. If so, I'll be burning gas all weekend!

Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up! Just ordered an OFT today and picked my BRZ up in May of 2012.

Called Vishnu and got a super helpful answer...not sure who I talked to though.

Thanks for the post and thanks to the crew at Vishnu for the excellent explanation.
