I have to be honest man, your car was the motivation for my purchase of RPF1's. It's a classic wheel, and it's been around a long time and adorned many cars, but I've always loved them.

The fact that I've never owned a set + your car =

I've been wanting some 16" RPF1s. 13.7 pounds apiece! Anyone seen that before?

Thank you! Appreciate it. It was also a classic wheel that I've always loved. This was my second set of rpfs.

What kind of coating are you guys putting on RPF1s? I've been told that you're not supposed to powdercoat RPF1s, as it does NOT play nicely with the MAT forming technology used to make the wheels. A bigtime wheel distributor in the area has informed me that pretty much all wheel failures on Enkei MAT formed wheels are from people that powdercoat them.

I ask, because I wanted to get some NT03+Ms in Hyper Black (which they don't sell anymore) and powdercoating apparently isn't a good idea.

Some people swear powder coating hurts the wheel. On the other hand, some people have had no problems with them whatsoever. Me personally? i wouldn't take the risk so if i were to paint wheels it would just be professionally painted with a gun. I know a couple people who have done this and many of them have been able to keep their wheels in pristine condition.

yeah I was looking at Enkei's RPF1 size chart that I'm starting to notice that it must be a realllllly outdated chart
