That makes sense, if there's enough force that something is flexing a tiny bit to create movement, the sound could be amplified by the surrounding sheet metal or felt through the pedal. Slightly over torquing could prevent said flex...

it is definitely the bolt. I have done the opposite and loosened mine a bit and it works fine for me now, no clicks.

Have you tried tightening the bolt yet? It’s been 6 days without a single click for me. I can’t even feel/hear the click a bit.

@JB86'd @Rod117
Any update guys?

As of late, my clutch stopped making noises so I have not done anything to it. The only noise it makes is the diff noise as I was told by another FR-S owner. Has not clicked as of yet.

@BaeK @Trevorovert finally got around to making a video. Hopefully you guys can hear it. Sounds like it's coming from the transmission.

That's definitely 100% a different click. Hate to say it but that almost sounds normal to me? Not sure really. The actuation lies in the master cylinder, that would be my first check

Okay I had a feeling haha. It sounds normal to me also, but I wasn't sure. I don't know too much about transmissions but I feel like it may have to do with the throwout bearing/pressure plate functions. I listened with a long funnel and it sounds much louder down by the transmission.

I'm not really sure, but it sounds louder than normal. Once I get home tonight, I will check to see if my car makes the same noise with the hood popped open.

Make sure the car is on when you test it, I only get the noise when the car is on.

Just tried that with the car on and mine is somewhat similar to yours. However it only makes the sound when I'm releasing the clutch, and not when engaging.

Been doing some research on various clutch clicking solutions.... Mine started just today at about 3,500 miles on the car. I have DEFINITELY found the noise to be coming from the little white button that the clutch pedal pushes in when depressed. I can just push that little button with my finger while holding the clutch pedal down to make the noise. It's a very audible clicking noise and can be felt through shoes while pushing the clutch pedal.

Has anybody had a similar problem and possible solution? I might try lubing up that little button... not sure though. Very annoying for this to randomly start.

instead of posting a new thread and since u guys have been very particular in the noises that the clutch makes i was wondering if this was normal to ya'll my clutch makes a noise when i engage it and disengage it but its when it is in gear . for example when backing up into a parking spot when in reverse like feather it get it to move and release when its to fast in between those times whenever the clutch disengages and engages i hear a clunk/click noise and was wondering if this was normal. i only hear it in 1st and reverse since those are the only gears u'd be doing in and out of the clutch trying to creep in slowly. THANKS!

Noise from the cruise control sensor is fine, everyone will have it to some degree - OP's was more than just this, his actually had a pop to it.
