There is a fix with the latest TSB unless that failed again, but that's not the point. With a transmission failure at 5800 miles, 3 fuel pumps, and a long list of other issues, many substantial, I'm done with owning a 2013. It was a stupid mistake to buy the first model year, I won't be repeating it. Not to mention the warranty service has been spectacularly awful in my case.

It varies state to state. Each state has their own lemon laws, they should have handed you a brochure when you bought it.

Told me to bring it in and they'd check it out and order the parts even with an intake. She said everyone does intakes so to refuse work for one is just unprofessional. I was very pleased by her service and will be taking the car in on Friday.

If I were you, I'd be buying my next Subaru from them if so inclined. Not all dealerships are the same, most are just STEALERships.

I sorry to hear you have encountered "automotive retards' at your dealership. Yes, you should contact Scion / Toyota Corporate...if there is no great inconvenience to your, find another dealership to conduct your services at.

A different dealership may share your same view and thus support you.
( I realize my posting may be late!!!)

Okay so here's an update that will help everyone. I'm at the dealership now(the one that accepted my car). She checked online on something she called the bulletin board and both the chirping and rust issue was documented through Subaru so any dealership is able to pull this up and service your car because it is a known issue!

Its unfortunate that a lot of dealers will tell people on the service drive that modifications voided the warranty, when they know that the modification has to be proven to be what failed the part, otherwise its still covered under warranty. We have had a few people come in with warranty issues with modded cars and had the work done warranty.

The window squeaking is caused by the tint, I can verify because this also happened to mine. My passenger side small triangular window squeaks whenever the door opens or closes. This only started happening after I had my windows tinted. I removed the door panel looking for the noise and found that moving the small window caused it. Can't tell exactly where it's at but it's coming from, my guess was that the guy that tinted my windows pushed too hard on the window making it become loose or something. Haven't bothered taking it in for that to avoid embarrassment of them telling me they won't warranty it because it was caused by the mod (tinted windows).
