This early? Lol. I'm contemplating bringing the STi on winter tires....

I did it last year. Paid via EvoSchool, less the helmet/whatever other crap they bundle into it.
TLR: it was a complete rip-off, imo.

I've worked Evo Schools in the past when I had no dough to run and my then-region hosted it, they were miles ahead of this one. That one was worth the money, the joke they put on last year was a waste of money time. They made us work half the time (I've _never_ heard of anyone working Evo schools before, and all my iracing buddies I bitched about this too did not hear of it either), we had only one crappy sub-30 second course for the whole day and that's it. Instructors were decent, but, again, not worth the money. I'd rather spend it on test-n-tunes in the area or buck runs after events with some instructor in the car.

You wouldn't be the only one. I'd run my prelude but the suspension is making a lot of noises and feels kinda sketchy to run. I'll be out to spectate and watch friends run.

A couple of friends went last year and had nothing but good things to say. If i subtract the cost of parts of the bundle that I would be buying anyway, the cost isn't bad.

If you've attended a few autocrosses and don't need all the bonus stuff I too recommend doing the phase 1/phase 2 rather than SL. Detroit is doing a poor job of advertising but confirmation from the key EVO folks I know, they will have phase 1 school offered Saturday in addition to SL, and offering both phase 1 and 2 opportunities on Sunday. Registration isn't open yet though AFAIK.

Also no CCM event for me unfortunately finishing prep this weekend. Getting ready for Wilmington match tour on the 12th. I'm planning to be at the NWOR event in Toledo on April 27th rather than the 'dome Detroit opener.

No kidding. Both are about an hour drive for me, and I'd much rather drive on Toledo's lot. I want to go on 27th, but work might interfere. If not, I'll be shredding OEM Michelins

I'll be there with my BRZ. I haven't been driving my car for the past two months and really want to do something fun with it! This would be first ever AutoX, doing it with a couple of my friends, and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna forget the route midway and smash into cones!

I'll be there just to have fun! See you around!

I had the same thought for my first AutoX. I had only ever ridden in my buddies car at an AutoX, and seeing him navigate the cones and remember the "invisible" course had me boggled. I remembered the course when my AutoX time came though, and on a much more complex circuit.

I still don't know how, but I won't question it, only hope that it sticks around.

Stopped in at the dealership today and picked up a new driver side fender liner (buddy of mine burned a hole when he was heating the fender to roll the tab), and talked with the service guy there: He was unaware of the HPFP TSB. I initially set up a service appointment for that and the RPM dip, but apparently only the Scion boys get that TSB.

I guess I'll just live with the RPM dropping and the squeaky pump until something else comes up.

....or I go FI, and then I'll tune it properly and kiss my warranty goodbye.

I'll be at CCM, if you need some help or want to go along for a ride in my FR-S, come find me.

I might be going to the Wilmington match tour as well, but I'd likely drive home after Saturday runs to drive the Spec Neon at the Waterford Hills track day on Sunday....

Cool! I'll meet you at the CCM then! I need to get my tires swapped before that, back to the OEM summer 'I'm gonna let you slide like butter' tires!

I'll be at ccm as well. Will be working on the car saturday trying to figure out a rear clunking noise with my new to me coilovers. Hopefully we can get that resolved.

Can't decide whether to break in the Z2's or stick with the all-seasons for Sunday.

Also will be at Wilmington too!

Sean do you mind if I pick your brain on Sunday and possibly getting a ride?

That's fine, but you have to man up and put the Dunlops on.

Throw those all seasons in the garbage.

Video from yesterday's autocross.....

Stock FR-S with Tires, a sway bar and shocks can run quite well... Not sure why we don't get more of these cars out to the events.

Man, that was a short course! I always hate those short timed ones compared to the long 90+ second ones. Hope did you fare compared to other more powerful cars?

My car is finally all done with suspension mods/alignment, so now I just need some seat time! Can't wait.
