Spyder Fog Lights install/impressions - Page 2 - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

Instead of starting my own thread I figured it best just to add to this one. I installed my Spyder kit over the weekend. Picked it up off Ebay for $103 shipped. The biggest plus of the kit was the switch, bezel, and pretty decent wiring harness. I too had to trim the light housings trying to get them more centered and mess with the bulbs a little. One worked fine, the other worked once I remove the excess bulb glue from the pins. The housings are a bit on the cheap side and if I have to replace them I will get something better next time. The bezels that go around the lights do not fit as well as the stock pieces. Overall, for just a hair over $100 I can't complain and anything was better than the "LED accent lights" that the dealership installed.

Yep, same kit, came in the red Spyder box and every part had the Spyder name on it. Its now $98.99 shipped on Ebay from the same seller I bought it from.

Wow, nice find. Didn't look to see if they had yellow, but if so, I would have been all over that.

Also, seems you had the exact same problems I did haha. I may try to source some OEM bezels in the future. And/or a new switch that is less orange and more red.

I saw this fog light on ebay, FR-S / BRZ Fog light projector with CCFL ring.

is anyone think this is a good buy.? it looks really nice and they have video too.

Wow. Excellent price, great find. Any idea if the diode dynamics fog light kit comes with a switch?

It don't believe it does. Their kit wires directly to Sidemarkers or headlights so they are always on when you turn on headlights.

No problem. If you wanted to learn more about the differences in spyder, diode, and winjet fogs, ft86speedfactory put out a great video showing/explaining.

There is a coupon in the video too for their site, hidden announcement forget exactly where in vid.
