Well ANY mod outside of OEM spec could put increase wear on the part it is running with :p power mod or not. I would not worry about engine life with such a mod unless it causes fueling AFR issues (which it should not, considering where it is in the system)

Haha, this is true, but generally exhaust mods aren't too bad for the engine. I guess I will keep a look out on these and see how everything goes.

This mod will clearly cause you to lunch the block according to the scare thread from Crawford that caused so much drama. If not the block them clearly it will lunch your clutch or trans or snap a driveshaft due to extreme power gains!!! In all seriousness I doubt this will have any impact on reliability and look forward to third party verification.

So by your logic FI is safer? Come on now, that is just silly. Increasing volumetric efficiency does not equate to more engine wear. NA mods with proper tuning, jus tike FI, is plenty safe...

Well, if you want to make big power, FI is the safer way to go. This engine is being used but with a turbocharger in the new WRX, so it probably is safer. Then again, I do like to talk out my ass sometimes.

I think it is closer to 11:1. Don't know if it has the same port/direct injection system either. . .
