I know this thread is old, but whatever came from these talks? I live in Travelers Rest and want to meet some 86 guys. None of my friends are into cars very much so I don't really have anyone to talk with.

We have had one meet a few months ago and some of the guys met up for a mountain run. As far as I know we are all still here and ready to meet. I saw a few of the guys at c&c yesterday. We can try to plan something if you would like. I would like to see a regular meet on a certain evening or something like that. I know we all have work schedules that can get in the way at times also. Anybody else want to comment on this?

I was considering gauging interest to see about LeMans Karting again after next month's Cars & Coffee. However, I may not be at Cars and Coffee next month because the next SCCA autocross is the same morning and I *might* be there instead.

Week before would probably work though.

I was there yesterday and met magic, you have the 10 series right? Also burn and a few other guys. I live right across the border to nc so I'm not to far away, I'd be down to do something regularly just let me know!

Everyone must be at the next autocross! It was a lot of fun and we can all do dinner after or something.

Here is a video from some of my runs at Sundays race.

I must admit - Sunday was quite fun. I just need to source another set of stock rims and throw a set of Hankook RS3's on them before I go again. As much as I like wearing out the Michelin Primacy tires faster, they are still a good daily driving tire imho.

Next one is over at the Michelin Proving Grounds on the 27th of April
on this big flat area I think. About a 50 minute drive from my house in Taylors.

Honestly, there really isn't anything to it besides your driving skills and car setup. They have loaner helmets, novice instructors that will ride along with you, etc.

That reminds me - I need to source a helmet too lol.

Well i'm definitely down to go to the next nearest one then. Any idea when/where that may be? We should get a group together for it!

I think there is one tomorrow at the nc ag center near Asheville and one on Saturday at the restoration church (old waccamaw) in Spartanburg. The one Saturday is by Clemson Sport car club I think. And it did say that if time permits they will have free runs after the event.
