You'll be good. I'm not a big fan of the EBC pads but if that's what you have they'll definitely be good stuff. I wouldn't mind getting feedback on the EBCs and how they hold up.

Passengers can go out with any of our Instructors after they sign the waiver etc.

On my last car I ran EBC Green Stuff for my back road stuff and I thought they were awesome. Ive been wanting to try Hawk one of these days though.

I drove the new infield at Poconos on enkei rpf1s with rs3s and ran project mu hc800 pads and motul fluid and it was great. If you were looking for pads I would suggest those.

another great pad that's relatively inexpensive is the stop-tech street performance pads.

we carry those in stock, along with hawks, and thats what i run on my brz. had plenty of stopping power at the track last season.

Hey, looks like I'm off the night before (June 1) so I'm going to register.

The only thing that is "required" is a 2005 or 2010 helmet, yes? Any helmet recommendation? but I'll also get that insurance ^_^

Also I'm going to come there for a brake fluid swap sometime before the event. Should I get a brake pad as well? After my stock tires wear out I'm going to get a set of stickier tires for track (something like AD08R) so want a pad to match with it. I am comfortable swapping pads so a track only pad I can swap at track is fine with me.

Will there be a place at the event to change wheels and brake pads? I have my own tools.

EDIT: just registered

Glad to have you in!

Brake fluid swap is a good idea. As for pads, I would upgrade to at least StopTech Streets or Hawk HP+ if you plan to do more track days with us or other groups this season. If you are a novice, higher grip tires and pads will only hinder your progress in our opinion.

There is the paddock which is paved so you should be able to swap out pads and wheels/tires there if need be. Just be aware that we have a bunch of classroom activities when you aren't on track so you will want to swap those things early or even the night before at the track.

Just for the record, I'm still in. Looking outside, it's almost hard to believe the 2nd of June is less than 3 months away...

I am going to be running those same wheels and tires for this event I was just at azp today to buy them.I'm not planing on having pads but after a few month of auto x I might need them so maybe I'll run hawk pads.

What wheel and tire size are you going to be running?

We will have the AZP BRZ there as well, keep an eye out for details on our setup as we hone it down before the event...

honestly the best setup for these cars in terms of specs is a 17x9 with a 255.

look into the mach v awesome wheels or the classic rpf1's.

i however run a 18x9.5 +40 with a 265/35/18 and while it was awesome at the track, you definitely feel that extra weight on the street in 1st/2nd.

As far as the inspection form. Am I allowed to fill that out or is it required to be inspected by an SAE mechanic or something?

Also, a friend of mine wanted to watch from the sidelines, is this type of thing allowed. I don't mind telling them they can't come ^_^

You can fill it out and sign it yourself, we will be doing an additional tech at the track as well which the track is requiring us to do.

Spectators are free to come and watch as well, but if you don't want them to come that's cool too!
